The Master of Supply Chain Management and Logistics program delivers supply chain management and logistics education and advanced professional skills while guiding students in developing their understanding of and appreciation for the application of ethics, sustainability and professional practices in supply chains.

This program is a hands-on degree with a practical component, which gives students the skills and knowledge required to work professionally in supply chain management and logistics fields

Co-op placement or practicum
The Master of Supply Chain Management and Logistics degree includes a 4-month graduate co-op placement or practicum in which students gain hands-on experience in the supply chain management field. These placements are made possible by the Stu Clark graduate school’s network of connections within Manitoba and across Canada. 

The Department of Classics is devoted to the study of the ancient Mediterranean civilizations of Greece and Rome which stand at the beginning of the history and culture of the whole of Western civilization. A wide variety of subjects and methods of investigation come within the experience of students who pursue the study of the Classical world, including (among others) Ancient History, Archaeology, Art History, the Latin and ancient Greek languages, Linguistics, Modern Word Origins, Mythology, Literature and Drama, Religion, and the Origins of Western Thought. Students may study ancient Greek and Latin to a high level of fluency, but most courses in the Department do not require knowledge of these languages.

The Bachelor of Environmental Design program is a strong multidisciplinary undergraduate degree that provides a solid base of design education for students intending to pursue careers or graduate studies in a wide variety of disciplines, including the Faculty's master's degrees in Architecture, City Planning, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture, and at other institutions globally.

The Bachelor of Environmental Design Degree (BEnvD) is a four-year program consisting of two years of common foundation studies, followed by two years of pre-professional intermediate studies in one of three areas of focus: Architecture, Interior Environments, or Landscape + Urbanism.

Years 1 and 2 of the program provide a solid grounding in the basic knowledge and language shared by all of the environmental design disciplines. Students come to understand the holistic nature of environmental design and, at an early stage, begin to establish a rich and multidisciplinary dialogue with their peers, while discovering strengths and interests relating to a particular design discipline. Years 3 and 4 provide opportunities to be challenged by academic and professional design theories and practices specific to one of three particular disciplines:

• Architecture
• Interior environments
• Landscape + urbanism

Experiential learning
The Cooperative Education/Integrated Work Program provides practical experience, assistance in financing your education, and guidance for future career specialization. Semester-long exchange programs and field trips from one day to three weeks in length will expand your perspective and help you see the world in new ways.

Biosystems Engineering brings engineering to life by integrating life sciences with engineering, from the molecular to the ecosystem. Biosystems engineers help to create new technologies for the well-being of humans and animals, and the preservation and enhancement of natural resources and the environment. The main areas of study are environmental engineering, bio-processing (food and pharmaceutical), bio-environmental control, bio-medical engineering, soil and water engineering, agricultural equipment, and light structures. Biosystems Engineering also provides an excellent pathway to the Faculty of Medicine.

Environmental Science examines the physical, chemical, and biological components of the Earth’s environment, its diverse systems, and the complex ways in which they interact. Environmental scientists use a variety of scientific and analytical techniques to measure environmental parameters, to evaluate the state of environmental systems, and to project the changes in environmental systems as a result of human activities and climate change. Natural and physical systems behavior is key to evaluating the implications of human activities such as agriculture, industry, and resource extraction, processing, and use. Environmental problems such as contamination and pollution, global warming, and biodiversity loss are studied with regard to past, present, and future practices and solutions.

The Faculty of Science provides excellent training in scientific areas. The Bachelor of Science General degree provides breadth and depth of scientific understanding and comprises introductory Science courses and upper level Science courses from two departments of your choice. This is a flexible degree program – students can switch to a Major or Honours program at any point in their studies (subject to eligibility) and is a great preparation for further study in professional faculties, such as Medicine.

Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. It is also the profession that applies the accumulated knowledge of this science to practical problems. Psychologists and their work can be classified into three general categories: Research Psychology, Applied Psychology, and Clinical/Counselling Psychology.

Plant Biotechnology uses applied biology and chemistry to develop advanced knowledge of crop plants and their pathogens. Plant Biotechnologists develop new technologies for crop improvement.

The Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) in Plant Biotechnology provides students with a solid background in genetics, pathology, the physiology of plant growth, and the development of crop plants for food, feed and industrial uses. It also introduce students to the fundamentals and applications of the advanced biotechnologies currently being used in crop development industries and research.

Co-op programs
The Cooperative Education option integrates academic study with practical work experience in industry, government and the farming profession. To obtain the co-op designation, students must complete three 4-month work terms. Two of these can be during the summer. This program option will extend your degree time by one semester (slightly longer if a student takes more work terms in winter).

The Geological Sciences or Earth Sciences are multidisciplinary sciences that apply principles from many different fields to deal with all aspects of the solid Earth and its interactions with the hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere and Solar System. Quantitative data is provided through fieldwork, laboratory analysis and theoretical modeling for understanding the physical, chemical and biological behaviour and characteristics of Earth materials – rocks, minerals, fossils, liquids and gases. Once the nature and extent of the Earth’s natural evolution is understood and quantified, as well as the more recent environmental impact of human activity, they can help tackle many resource extraction, mineral processing and environmental problems, and predict future changes to the Earth.
