The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a four-year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business.
All undergraduate students admitted to the Edwards School of Business are required to complete a common first-year of studies. In January of your second year, you'll apply to a specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.

Marketing
Marketing includes everything an organization does to acquire customers and maintain a relationship with them. The field of marketing includes advertising, sales, product and services design, brand management, and public relations.

What you will learn
As a Marketing major you will learn how to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan, understand and analyze consumer behaviour, and undertake market research projects. You will develop the ability to see an organization from a customer’s, or client’s, perspective.

Your electives allow you to develop specialized knowledge in advertising and marketing communications, branding strategies, retail analysis, digital marketing, selling and social cause marketing.

Accounting
Accounting is the art of measuring, communicating, and interpreting financial activity, and is sometimes referred to as "the language of business." It involves interacting with numbers and people to determine the financial health of an organization.

What you will learn
The Accounting major is designed to provide students with the general, business and accounting knowledge necessary for them to succeed as professional accountants. Since accounting is a dynamic field, all accounting majors will learn how to keep their knowledge up-to-date so they can continue to grow throughout their professional careers.

You will acquire the communication, computer, and interpersonal skills necessary to successfully resolve complex problems in unstructured settings. You will also benefit from participation in activities such as the Volunteer Tax Program where fourth year accounting students volunteer their time to prepare tax returns for seniors and people with disabilities.

Mechanical engineers focus on how things work and see the world as parts in motion. They research, design and develop products ranging from massive engines and turbines to microscopic medical devices.

• We’ve redesigned first-year engineering at USask to help you succeed and make engineering more fun. We call the new first year RE-ENGINEERED. It’s the only program of its kind in Canada. It will get you excited and inspired about engineering.
• In RE-ENGINEERED, instead of high-stakes exams, you will do more assignments and quizzes so you can improve your mark if you stumble early. Daily tutorials are part of the schedule so you can get help when you need it. And instead of final exams, you will explore the different branches of engineering in hands-on courses.
• You will choose your engineering specialty – known as your major, or discipline – at the end of your first year. This is the area you will study in-depth in your upper-years classes.

French is spoken in 57 countries worldwide and is one of Canada's official languages. With globalization progressing at a rapid speed, studying French and the cultures where it’s spoken will provide you with valuable communicative skills and a competitive edge in any career.

What you will learn
You will be offered instruction in French language and literature, both in the original and in translation, and courses in the civilizations and cultures of France and French-Canada. You will study canonical writers and works of historical and global significance as well as Francophone writers and works from Saskatchewan and the prairies.

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, accredited by the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA), is designed to prepare students for careers in public administration and policy work in diverse areas such as non-government organizations, industry associations, and, of course, the public service. MPA students are exposed to core concepts in policy formation and analysis, and have the opportunity to explore substantive areas such as social policy, health policy, innovation policy, trade and immigration policy, resource and environmental policy, and public sector management. 

The standard time in the program for the MPA is two years. However, the MPA can be completed in a period as short as 16 months (via an accelerated program) and as long as five years (the maximum time allowed in program for Masters students).

Geology is the study of the Earth, from the highest mountains to the core. Geology examines phenomena such as earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, mountains, shorelines, minerals, mantle convection, Earth's magnetic field, plate tectonics, the evolution of life through time, and global climate change and its impact on the past and future development of the Earth.

What you will learn
Investigate episodes of ancient and modern environmental catastrophes, examine chemical and isotopic signatures in rocks to trace the natural processes that have shaped Earth and participate in the discovery of new energy and mineral resources. You will study Earth’s evolution and gain a better understanding of the physical, chemical and biological processes that affect the development of Earth.

The College of Nursing offers three programs leading to the Master of Nursing (MN) degree: Professional Practice, Thesis, and Nurse Practitioner.

A student completing the Professional Practice or Thesis MN program will be able to:

• Articulate perspectives on nursing
• Critique, utilize and contribute to theoretical and empirical knowledge bases for nursing
• Develop, implement and evaluate strategies for advanced nursing practice at the client and system level
• Demonstrate leadership skills needed to influence change

Graduates will be able to assume:

• Leadership/advanced practice roles in health care
• Educator roles in service and educational institutions
• Research roles in terms of generation and utilization of nursing knowledge
• Further study at the doctoral level

Professional Practice Master's Program
Master of Nursing Professional Practice students are required to take 27 credits units of coursework. Courses are designed so students can complete them in less than two calendar years and are delivered using a combination of live web conferenced seminars (synchronous) or online delivery (asynchronous) distance learning within North America

Discover your true potential as a musician, teacher, composer or music theorist. Develop your abilities with individual private lessons in applied study on piano, voice, brass, winds, strings or percussion with nationally and internationally trained instructors.

What you will learn
You will study performance, composition, music theory, history and literature. You will develop advanced skills with applied study in piano, voice, brass, winds, strings or percussion. You will examine the history of music which will provide you with a rich perspective into music, composers’ lives and their contributions to musical traditions, styles, genres and forms of composition.

Chemical engineers – also known as process engineers – are practical chemists who solve problems or create useful products. They research, design, and develop chemical processes and equipment while seeking to reduce our impact on the environment.
