What you will learn
Anthropology is the comprehensive study of human beings, past and present, in comparative, cross-cultural, and holistic light. Archaeology is a sub-discipline of Anthropology that focuses on the study of artifacts and other physical remains of past peoples in order to explore adaptation and cultural diversity over time. The Archaeology and Anthropology program at the University of Saskatchewan offers training that emphasizes the role of culture in past and present human behaviour and diversity, and that exposes students to human evolutionary, environmental, and social development and adaptation. The program demonstrates particular expertise in medical anthropology, environmental anthropology, applied (practicing) anthropology, anthropological archaeology, environmental archaeology, and bioarchaeology. We emphasize community-based and engaged learning, a commitment to reconciliation, and a broad disciplinary foundation in both anthropology and archaeology.

Design the way website applications, games, apps and various software systems interact with people, based on training in graphical design, human psychology and computer science.

What you will learn
You will learn to design, build, and evaluate games and interactive system. You will develop the technical skills required to implement and test these systems in a variety of scenarios, and learn to understand and use visual media. You will study the role of human cognition, development, memory, communication and perception in designing these systems.

Animal bioscience is the study of animal metabolism, genetics, physiology, nutrition, behaviour, care, health and the social and environmental impact of domestic animals

What you will learn
Do you have an interest in domestic animals? You will have opportunities to learn through experience in working with animals. This program meets the pre-veterinary medicine requirements and prepares you to work in fields outside of traditional animal agriculture including biomedical sciences, companion, equine and research animal care, animal health and environmental sciences.

Over 80% of the world’s population identifies as religious. Religious beliefs and practices shape the histories, cultures and perspectives of individuals and entire civilizations. In view of the role religion plays in shaping global citizens, religious literacy is of vital importance.

What you will learn
You will learn about religious approaches to some of humanity’s most timeless and urgent issues, such as the meaning of life and death, relationships, morality, gender and sexuality, ecology, social justice, war and peace. To understand how religions shape human experiences, societies and cultures you will study a range of world religions and religious experiences within cultural, historical, ideological, and current settings.

Mechanical engineers focus on how things work and see the world as parts in motion. They research, design and develop products ranging from massive engines and turbines to microscopic medical devices.

What you will learn

• We’ve redesigned first-year engineering at USask to help you succeed and make engineering more fun. We call the new first year RE-ENGINEERED. It’s the only program of its kind in Canada. It will get you excited and inspired about engineering.
• In RE-ENGINEERED, instead of high-stakes exams, you will do more assignments and quizzes so you can improve your mark if you stumble early. Daily tutorials are part of the schedule so you can get help when you need it. And instead of final exams, you will explore the different branches of engineering in hands-on courses.

The Certificate in Business (CBUS) is an eight-course program that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be successful in professional business environments. This certificate is offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business. You may earn the certificate on its own, while pursuing a degree, or after graduating university.
If you are interested in pursuing a degree in business, the Edwards School of Business offers a Bachelor in Commerce with majors in: Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a four-year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business.
All undergraduate students admitted to the Edwards School of Business are required to complete a common first-year of studies. In January of your second year, you'll apply to a specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.

Human Resources
Human Resources is about helping organizations succeed by managing employees and helping them reach their full potential. It serves a strategic function linking talented people with organizational success.

The major prepares students to handle human resource concerns in a timely and professional manner relating to all HR competencies including strategy, professional practice, engagement, total rewards, labour and employee relations, health, wellness and safe workplace, learning and development, workforce planning and talent management, HR metrics, reporting and financial management.

What you will learn
The human resource major prepares you for all aspects of the employment relationship. You will learn to how to recruit, select and engage employees, how to set up a compensation system, and how to deal with the intricacies of employment law including union-management relations. As part of managing people, you will also learn about specific areas such as workforce planning, retention, training and development, and health and safety.

This program examines human behaviour, institutions and culture in order to reveal and analyze the gender assumptions on which they are based. It examines the changing positions of women and men, gender nonconformity, queer studies, activism and the evolving understanding of gender.

What you will learn
You will examine the portrayal of femininities and masculinities in advertising, news media, literature, art, music, pornography, religion and films. You will study the relation between biology and gender constructions, gendered patterns of language use, the role of gender in processes of identity formation and socialization and women's changing economic and political roles.

You will discover that philosophy touches on almost every area of study, as all major developments in biology, economics, mathematics, physics and psychology started out as philosophical hypotheses. You will examine morality, the nature of the mind, and the structure of human thinking and you will engage in critical and creative thinking about fundamental questions, such as what is meant by a worthwhile life, what sense there is to the universe, what it means to be a good person, and what makes a just society.
Philosophy is an especially beneficial area of study for students who want to do any kind of work that requires good language and reasoning skills, including the ability to formulate good arguments and to critically appraise statements and problems. Philosophy students often go into law, but they are also successful in any field that needs clear thinking and good communication. Journalism and media, business, and education are also common career paths. Many institutions also require individuals with expertise in ethical reasoning, and many students will find that taking a double honours degree or minor in philosophy alongside an allied field will enhance their performance in that other field. Students in philosophy also tend to score very highly in post-graduate admissions tests.

The College of Nursing offers three programs leading to the Master of Nursing (MN) degree: Professional Practice, Thesis, and Nurse Practitioner.

A student completing the Professional Practice or Thesis MN program will be able to:

• Articulate perspectives on nursing
• Critique, utilize and contribute to theoretical and empirical knowledge bases for nursing
• Develop, implement and evaluate strategies for advanced nursing practice at the client and system level
• Demonstrate leadership skills needed to influence change

Graduates will be able to assume:

Professional Practice Master's Program
Master of Nursing Professional Practice students are required to take 27 credits units of coursework. Courses are designed so students can complete them in less than two calendar years and are delivered using a combination of live web conferenced seminars (synchronous) or online delivery (asynchronous) distance learning within North America
