It can be defined as the art and science of designing buildings and facilities for life safety and property protection in the event of an unwanted fire with application of scientific and engineering principles. The fire engineering design sectors are at the forefront in ensuring fire safety is maintained and enhanced, without exhausting natural resources or damaging the environment.

This course is designed for the students who dream to be involved in the design of industrial safety solutions along with the fire protection measures through the application of prevailing knowledge and proven techniques. The program enables students to explore the various possibilities of preventing fires.

MAJMC is a comprehensive program aimed at providing equal grounding in print production and journalism, broadcast media, public relations, media buying and management, corporate communication, graphics, media design and animation.

The study of Psychology is an academic discipline that involves the scientific study of mental functions and behavior. The B.A. Hons, an undergraduate program at GD Goenka is designed to impart the knowledge of various domains of psychology invigorating and apprising the learners of theoretical constructs and practical applicability of the subject. Master of Arts (Education) Programme is an innovative programme, which would provide learners with a wider and comprehensive understanding of education as a field of knowledge and thus would accommodate a wide variety of learner needs. Needs may range from understanding the concept of education to knowing how knowledge gets generated around education and to acquiring higher levels of specific aspects of education.  As per the norms of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), one of the academic eligibility criteria of becoming a teacher educator is to have M.A. (Education) degree to teach the foundation courses, hence the importance of this programme.  Considering the ever-changing cultural and social patterns, it is important to know the roots through subjects like philosophy, psychology, and sociology etc. The programme would help in the preservation and transmission of heritage and values and would help in preparing the students as global citizens.

Master of Arts Programme in Political Science of School of Humanities and Social Science, GD Goenka University has been designed to equip students with comprehensive and in-depth learning of the subject matter of Political Science. The Programme aims to prepare students for a career in research and equips the student to be well versed with contemporary trends in politics and public policy as well as possess a nuanced understanding of how political concepts, institutions and governments have evolved by introducing them to thinkers and discourses from ancient, medieval and modern times – both in Western and South Asian politics. The strong research thrust of the MA Programme is reflected in the course on Research Methodology, the Internship Programme and the Dissertation – all of which aim to cultivate, hone and strengthen the research, writing and analytical skills of the students. While the course on Research Methodology aims to educate students with techniques of conducting research and introduces them to research ethics, the two-month Internship enables students to work with an organization of their choice and gain work experience and an opportunity to assess their learning in real-life scenarios. The Dissertation is a microcosm of future doctoral research and helps the student assess and cultivate research and writing skills, in particular, to do with academic writing.

M. Tech. Production Engineering programme includes designing and installation of integrated systems for human and materials, equipment, and processes in order to increase the productivity of goods. It enables the students to solve complex problems related to industrial productivity through analysis of R & D, production, sales, construction, assessment, and maintenance. The graduates aim at higher productivity by adopting integrated design, efficient planning, and operative systems.
