Cloud computing (or ‘on-demand computing’) is a key distributed systems paradigm which has been gained much attention during the last few years. Cloud computing is a type of Internet-based computing, where data, information and shared resources are made available to computers and other devices on-demand. Cloud technologies are ubiquitous, affecting our routine lives any moment we access the World Wide Web, use a mobile app, or go for online transactions. Cloud computing and storage solutions provide users and enterprises with numerous competencies to store and process their data in third-party data centers. Cloud computing is a model for facilitating pervasive, suitable, on-demand network access to a common pool of configurable computing resources such as webs, servers, storage, applications and services that can be quickly provisioned and freed with nominal management effort.

M.Tech. in Data Science at JKLU prepares experts in the field who are able to:

• Identify, extract, and pull together available and pertinent heterogeneous data and use appropriate computational principles, platforms, and techniques to discover new relations and deliver insights into research problems or organisational processes and support decision-making.
• Conceive, design, implement, and manage data analytics, data management and information systems, services, and processes by using principles of computer science, data management, machine learning, computational statistics, software engineering, state-of the-art platforms, components and tools.
• Serve in the areas of data analytics, data science, or business analytics in business, consultancy, industry, government, healthcare, education, research, etc.

Courses in cognitive ergonomics, human-computer interface & UI/ UX help in creating good user experiences. Basic understanding of coding helps you in developing digital products. You get to work on real-life projects like designing apps and portals for new businesses besides getting introduced to new methods of quick prototyping to validate your design solutions.
