The program is of two years in length (4 semesters), meant for candidates desiring to pursue post-graduate programme in education. Besides preparing teacher educators, the program also aims to prepare educational administrators, supervisors and researchers. The M.Ed. programme comprises of theoretical courses including specialized courses in disciplines of education and related practical/field work including exposure to and training in a teacher education institution.
