Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilar will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in market for commercialization.

The curriculum focuses on various aspects of mass media -- from writing for media to developing communication skills to learning the basics of electronic and digital productions. The program also bridges the gap between theory and practice by engaging with industry experts who bring real-world knowledge and experience to our students.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This is a 5-year integrated law degree program – the first two years of the program focus primarily on arts and the last three on law subjects. The program prepares students for both national as well as international criminal justice systems. It has both classroom teaching as well as practical components like moot courts, law internships, workshops, guest lectures, national and international academic events, legal debates, and interaction with legal luminaries.

Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) in Fashion Design introduces students to a combination of traditional craft techniques with digital technologies to transform concepts from two-dimensional fabrics into three-dimensional forms. The programme covers all aspects of the design process, from trend analysis, research and design development, drawing and illustration, colour and fabric development, historical and cultural studies, translation of ideas from 2D to 3D through to presentation, marketing and business development.

Also, computational tools can be used in several areas starting from simulating various systems for the prediction of properties at micro/ macro/ nano level to development of new materials for the betterment of the life of the mankind to drug development etc. Computational techniques like Material Modelling, Drug development, Computational Chemistry are not only very reliable, but they save both money, time of the user. With Science expanding its horizons towards the areas like Machine learning, Data Science, Decision Science etc, the graduate students should be well prepared for utilizing these efficient computational techniques. In addition to these, it has an in-depth focus on laws related to banking, finance and insurance, the pillars of modern economies, and regulatory bodies related to these fields such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Competition Commission of India (CCI), and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

M.Sc. (Petroleum Geo-Sciences)- Environmental Geo-Chemistry
