Space Technology deals with the design and analysis of space vehicles, Space flight or space exploration. The curriculum covers areas such as, Space Science & Space Environment, Rocket Propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and Design of Aerospace Vehicles. In the recent year the space industry has undergone significant changes such as reusable launch vehicle and also sees a tremendous amount of increase in commercial opportunities. Most prominently space technology warns people of upcoming disasters ultimately, saves thousands of lives.

Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilars will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in the market for commercialization.

This integrated specialization further offers students a chance to choose between two MBA specializations: 

• Biotechnology Marketing
• Biotechnology Product Management

Computational material science involves exploration of material structure, properties and behaviour using modelling, simulation, theory or statistics. It is a wide field that encompasses computational techniques that can simulate electronic structure of materials, explore materials at different length scales: nano, micro, meso and macro scales, predict the structure based on thermodynamic stability and accelerate discovery of novel materials with desired properties. A student opting for this specialisation will get exposed to these techniques and will gain an in-depth expertise on any one technique through the dedicated project work.

In a globalised world, no country is self-sufficient and hence, there is a growing interdependence amongst nations and extended alliances amongst countries. As a result, we see several FTAs (Free Trade Agreements), PTAs (Preferential Trade Agreements), Associations, Common Market, Customs, Economic and Political Unions mushrooming.These concepts are covered elaborately under the Regional Economic Integration specialisation.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme in User Experience and Interaction Design blends technical know-how, interdisciplinary research and a creative artistic-scientific approach. Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This course is designed to train students in the intricacies of law as well as financial markets, making them proficient in all basic law subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, and international law. In addition to these, it has an in-depth focus on laws related to banking, finance and insurance, the pillars of modern economies, and regulatory bodies related to these fields such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Competition Commission of India (CCI), and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

It includes multiple facets like overseeing runway operations, terminal operations, peak hour passengers’ management, aircraft stands administration and airspace operations. This course aims towards building up foundation in understanding airport master planning and associated constraints.
