B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics with Research is a 4 year programme which includes research and internship in its course curriculum. Food industry is a major industry which requires highly skilled professionals to ensure the food quality, safety and worldwide management. The aim of this course is to provide in-depth study of various areas related to food technology that will enable the students to understand food composition, their nutritional, microbiological, processing and organoleptic aspects. This program also upskills the students in the processing techniques by in hand training in food industries. They are also taught about the importance of food plant sanitation, international and national food laws and regulations applicable in food industry.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI &ML) relates to the field of computer applications and helps in making the intelligent systems or machines that can simulate the human behaviour, their thinking capability. It works either on the basis of data without or with the explicitly designed program or machine algorithm. Few examples where AI is used are online Game playing, customer support using catboats, robot, intelligent humanoid, Siri, work on artificial intelligence. Machine learning works on the information extracted from data and it is considered as subfield of artificial intelligence. ML is used for predictions or in decision making based on the past data, for example, online recommendations, picture detections, search engine algorithm, auto-friend tagging suggestions etc. Realizing the importance of the field and its wide application in today’s world business, Uttaranchal University offers specialization in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML) to students enrolled in MCA program.

MCA with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a two years post graduate program to impart right knowledge and industry ready skills to develop intelligent machines and solve real world problem through AL & ML techniques. The curriculum and teaching – learning pedagogy is so designed that it balances between theoretical component and practical exposure through projects, internships, industrial visits, expert interaction and conducting technical workshops. Some of the key concepts of Python, Panda, Scikit are well explained through lab sessions and having regular doubt clearing sessions. Special focus is given on courses related to computer programming, Algorithm, probabilistic modelling, machine learning and pattern recognition.

The B.Sc (Agri.) programme is an undergraduate programme related to the field of agriculture. The focus of this study is on agriculture. Under this programme, students are trained about the most modern methods used in fertilizers; plant biotechnology. The programme apart from training in scientific skills also trains in marketing skills of agriculture products. Under this study, the students are exposed to real life rural settings with the aim to develop a sense of awareness among the students so that they can understand the problems of farmers and rural people.

BBA program gives the students strategic outlook on problems of business organization, management & solutions to them. The BBA program seeks to provide to the management trainees the understanding of the theory, practice of management and the required knowledge and skills to succeed in the business world. The degree programme is intended for those who wish to acquire business and managerial knowledge and skills. The curriculum provides the students with a strategic perspective on contemporary issues in management. The academic curriculum of this 3 years programme involves comprehensive learning that would produce managers who are well equipped with technical expertise and practical knowledge relevant to today’s globalized environment. This program provides the students with practical orientation and broad specialization in marketing, finance, information systems, human resource management and international business. The programme has extensive in-house practical training, with audio-visual support, class room session, case studies, seminar session, summer training and industrial visits.

M. Pharm. is a two-year post-graduate Programme which has been designed to focus on the field of pharmaceutical science. Under this programme, the students get in-depth knowledge of the course like product planning and formulation designing of pharmaceuticals.

M.Pharm. Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an interdisciplinary programme that covers the synthesis, designing, development, and other significant factors of existing and novel drug molecules. Parallelly, it deals with pharmacodynamic as well as pharmacokinetics.

B.A.LL.B. offers students the opportunity to enter the field of legal education at a very early stage of their academic career. It is the integrated programme of law where students get the opportunity to simultaneously study law and humanities. The allied subjects offered under this programme are English, Political Science, History, Sociology, Business Studies, and Management.

BA (Hons) Economics aims to develop the necessary skills to analyze economic phenomena. Students will develop the necessary skills to empirically validate economic theories. The significance of the Programme lies in the statistical methods in research which will develop research-based skills to construct and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. The Programme will enable the students to understand the economic issues at the local and global level and also to critically analyze government Policies and Programmes announced and implemented to resolve the issues.

Environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field related to advanced study about environment and ecosystem. It also deals with the solution of environmental problems which is the need of the hour. Apart from the study of biological and physical characters of the environment, it also includes the social and cultural factors and impact of humans on the environment.

M.Sc. Environmental Science is a 2-year full-time PG course which includes courses of ecology, environment and green chemistry, energy and environment, natural resource management, environment nanotechnology, water and waste water management, and environment and health which are designed with the aim of fulfilling the demands of trained human resource in this field. This program will prepare individual for understanding environmental issues and find sustainable solution for it.
