There’ll be an increasing focus on user experience, Interaction Design and Design Methods in all IT products and services.

Graphic and Web Design classes emphasize design and creativity while providing intensive technical training. Instruction is flexible and inclusive, enabling both the beginning and advanced student to make great strides during this course. In this introduction to visual communication concepts and tools, you learn the fundamentals of typography, graphic design, and layout, as well as digital skills. The class includes basic design, type, image, illustration exercises using Adobe suite. Develop the essential design skills you need to produce graphics for print, advertising, corporate identity, and other interactive media. Website Design concepts, HTML & JavaScript, Search Engine Optimisation, Web Page Design, Mobile apps, Assignment & Portfolio building are also part of the program.

Diploma in Disaster Resilient Planning and Design programme aims at developing skills and knowledge to critically analyse and apply key concepts in disaster management theory, research, policy and practice, such as vulnerability, resilience, governance, disaster risk reduction and sustainable development; Learn from an interdisciplinary team of professionals, drawing on ideas and methods in design, construction, geography, history, politics, development studies and arts; Develop sufficient knowledge to apply planning & design skills and competencies to meet disaster management career demands; Engage in disaster preparedness and response with the people, projects and organisations that shape humanitarian, health, disaster management, conflict response and intervention issues across India.

The program offers a hands-on curriculum that balances collaboration and socially engaged practices with academic research in history and theory. Students work in diverse experimental contexts & formats, with alternative models of exhibition planning. Designed to forge links among artists, institutions, and communities, the program promotes a collaborative culture linking diverse audiences, and local issues to global discourses. Through real-world collaborative exhibits, students will be expected to raise awareness, bridge societal gaps, and catalyze exchanges across various disciplines, both inside and outside the art world.

This course is designed to help students to understand the nature of creativity by letting go of stale habits and conditioning that prevent one from making contact with the natural flow of creative energy. Both inner and outer worlds and their relationship to colour will be explored during the course, through painting from a life model as well as from imagination.

Painting and Drawing fuses traditional expertise and technique with cutting-edge contemporary approaches to art making. In this program, you can study virtually every approach to painting and drawing, from traditional oil painting to graphic novel production and 3D spatial installation. Your technical, formal and conceptual skills will be developed through focused studio production and instruction in theory, art history and cultural studies. Drawing incorporates a wide array of materials and explores body, gestures, mark making, the construction of visual space, as well as symbols and storytelling. In Painting classes, you will explore colour through paint application, tools and techniques along with the formal language of painting and its use in abstract, figurative and hybrid/expanded modes.

In an interdisciplinary way, the strategy & innovation concentration would have you actively practice Design strategy & Human Centred Design through a pathway of studio courses that teach how to use market insights to build products, create experiences, and launch businesses. In addition to dedicated studio space for heads-down work, students have access to model-making, rapid prototyping, and multimedia technology for the range of projects they take on to bring this work to life. By the end of this programme, you would gain adequate competence enabling them to understand and map the opportunities and design transformational strategies, manage innovation and new business development in any of all the diverse sectors from products to services, governance, crafts to ICT, life and entertainment, etc. and will be equally equipped to enter any industry, social enterprises, consultancy or jobs always contributing to the top management function either as team players or as team leaders or even initiate start-ups.
