After completing this program, you’ll be able to enter the counselling profession at a beginning practitioner level. Practical placements are an essential part of the program and you’ll spend time working in community agencies and organisations. Once you’ve graduated, you’ll be able to apply for provisional membership of a relevant professional body such as the NZAC, Te Wh?riki Tautoko, DAPAANZ or NZ Christian Counsellors Association. With this qualification you can start your career in an entry-level Information Technology support role, or pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology.

This qualification will give you the skills you need to apply for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC). The program will give you the skills you need to gain your MNZ Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC, allowing you to work as Mate of a fishing vessel of 24m or more in length in any operating area at sea. On completion of this qualification return after 12 months and gain your Skipper Fishing Vessel – Unlimited certification to get the skills for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Skipper Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC. This programme contains all the training and supplementary certificates you will need for your COC. Including STCW basic safety training, advanced fire fighting, PISC and rescue boats, GMDSS Radio Operator.
