You will:

• Get networked, learning from our award-winning staff, together with visiting professionals taking part in masterclasses. In the last year, this has included Carol Morley, Jonathan Glazer, Rubi Shah, Dan Perri, Emily Morgan, Joel Collins and Kim Longinotto.
• Develop gradually by learning through doing, engaging in reflective and imaginative thinking and using professional filmmaking production workflows on a course that's endorsed by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the creative industries.
• Get the chance to work on our in-house micro-budget short and feature films through the Sound/ Image Cinema Lab – including Bait (Mark Jenkin, 2019), Make Up (Claire Oakley, 2020), Long Way Back (Brett Harvey, 2020), The Tape (Martha Tilston, 2020), and the forthcoming FilmFour production Enys Men (Mark Jenkin, 2021).

You'll learn how different specialisms work together, how to work effectively in a team and to develop the role you play in it. These courses simulate how industry operates, in a studio environment that's built to mirror a real games development studio.

You will:

• Build your own games from day one and have the opportunity to establish your own company in your third year
• Work in one of the largest and best equipped dedicated game-making spaces of any university in the UK
• Work in a department dedicated to gaming and be surrounded by people working in all aspects of
  the industry
• Develop a multi-disciplinary approach, using Unity and Unreal to touch upon all aspects of game creation
• Have the flexibility to change your area of specialism based on your skills and interests

This course is underpinned by intensive practical and collaborative work. You’ll explore every aspect of the creative process, from devising individual performances to directing and producing work with others. As a reflective practitioner, you’ll test the theories you learn in lectures through your own work, research and performances. 

You will:

From understanding global economies, big data and business strategy to learning to navigate uncertainty and developing responsive and ethical leadership skills, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to lead the future of business.

You will:

• Practice your business and collaborative skills in a development consultancy team
• Develop a business plan based on an original idea
• Work on real-life challenges and take part in a range of work placements
• Learn key skills in identifying business opportunities, sales, networking and negotiation
• Be based on our Penryn Campus surrounded by students from a range of creative disciplines

During this unique business degree you'll get the chance to collaborate with creatives from across the University, including students from our Launchpad business incubation programme, to proactively build your network.

You'll be able to immerse yourself in new ideas while learning theory and applying it to your own practice. You'll explore the social and environmental contexts of business, learn the art and science of building brands and collaborate with peers and professionals. You will be supported to take micro placements, engage with student-run businesses and potentially start your own enterprise.

You will:

• Be encouraged to hone your entrepreneurial skills in a live project environment

Through this fashion marketing degree, you'll learn to fuse skills in business, design and communication. You’ll gain an understanding of the need for a considered, conscious and sustainable approach in a fast-paced marketplace. And you’ll be part of a creative community preparing for an exciting career.

You will:

• Work on live projects with brands such as Fred Perry and John Lewis.
• Collaborate with photographers, designers and creators.
• Gain valuable experience through an optional placement year in industry (during the four-year course).
• Graduate from a course accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The outdoors will be your studio and you'll have fantastic locations on your doorstep, as well as opportunities to travel the world. You'll also benefit from the expertise of staff members who are global practitioners, with links to the BBC Natural History Unit and National Geographic.

You will:

• Have the opportunity to take part in regular field trips and residentials to places like Dartmoor, where you'll complete first aid training for the outdoors. There are also optional international field trips, including visits to places like the Cairngorms, the Galapagos Islands and the Red Sea
• Have the option to learn professional underwater photography
• Have the chance to complete a two-week work placement in your second year
• Organise, fund and complete a self-devised project in your third year, mirroring an industry project, which could be based anywhere in the world
• Access our cutting-edge photographic equipment, as well as studios, dark rooms and post-production suites

Our academic team members are experienced practitioners, with broad industry backgrounds, who will teach you how to work collaboratively and take a creative approach to organising events, from cutting-edge fashion experiences and music festivals, to weddings, business events and product launches.

You will:

Organise at least four live events over the three-year course

• Study on one of the first courses in the world accredited by A Greener Festival
• Be involved in industry events and take part in workshops with organisations such as Attitude is Everything
• Take micro-placements throughout the course, with previous destinations ranging from Cornwall to California
• Explore the future of sustainable and digital event management

Guided by a team of industry professionals, expert academics and technical tutors, you'll learn about music composition, performance, recording, editing, mixing and mastering. You'll also hone skills in creating sound and music for a wide range of media, including game engines and interactive installations.

You will:

• Develop as an industry-ready artist with the creative, technical, academic and professional attributes needed to succeed
• Work in high-spec studio facilities with a range of digital and analogue hardware, software instruments and plug-ins and surround sound monitoring
• Access a wide range of industry-standard equipment including microphones, portable recorders, amps, synths, drum machines and controllers
• Collaborate with musicians, filmmakers, game designers, dancers, animators and designers on other Falmouth courses
• Work in a vibrant community of research-active lecturers with industry connections. Recent visitors include Ed O'Brien (Radiohead), James Young (Darkstar) and Professor Jonty Harrison (Electroacoustic composer)
• Grow in experience and skills through optional modules, industry placements, overseas study and/or starting your own company
