BA Advertising, PR and Branding

The MA Fine Art at Middlesex offers artists time and resources to explore and develop their artistic practice within a flexible research-led course featuring some of the best art facilities in London and expert guidance from a range of leading artists, academics and curators attached to the course.

On our MA in Fine Art you will explore the creative, cultural, political and social questions of art practice. The course offers the opportunity to further your knowledge and skills by undertaking a systematic and comprehensive major body of work. Combining political theory and international relations with legal perspectives, you’ll develop your legal skills, enhance your critical and analytical thinking, and learn the political concepts and analytical tools that will help you advance your career in the increasingly complex field of global politics, international law and governance. You’ll study the key aspects of law and enhance your knowledge of European and Middle Eastern geopolitics, international political economy, migration and human rights.

You'll be taught by people who are actively engaged in NGOs, International and European Organisations, as well as think tanks. Your tutors work with Parliament on policy issues, the UN on sustainability, in the middle-east on conflict and post-conflict issues and a host of other important issues and policies.

Combining chemistry with biochemistry, this course will give you a grounding in pharmaceutical chemistry and the skills needed to work in the field.

During the course you’ll cover all aspects of pharmaceutical drug development, such as target identification, synthesis, clinical testing and trials, alongside building your knowledge of the main branches of chemistry.

Our pharmaceutical chemistry course is designed to the standards of the Royal Society of Chemistry. During the course you’ll be taught by an academic team with links to the industry that include GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, and Johnson Matthey.

Building your chemistry skills in a lab environment

• Divided into four broad themes, you’ll cover all aspects of chemistry including core chemistry knowledge, practical skills, pharmaceutical knowledge, and numeracy and computational skills. You’ll build your analytical and research skills so you can collect and interpret experimental data.

Access to the laboratory spaces at the Hendon Campus may be restricted in light of the ongoing Covid 19 outbreak, You will have access to a bioscience suite with a scanning electron microscope, microbiological and molecular equipment, as well as a host of other analytical technologies.
• As part of the course you will also take part in a work placement, gaining valuable industry experience in an organisation or laboratory. Access to placements may also be impacted by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

During the foundation year you will learn how computers are used by a broad range of people and organisations as well as acquiring fundamental software development skills and knowledge of hardware. You also gain relevant mathematical and statistical skills and develop useful communication skills.

BSc Computer Science

You’ll gain an understanding of the key principles of computer science while you develop your programming, system engineering, and project experience skills. You’ll also get the support, encouragement and confidence to put your skills into practice through individual and group projects. Your first year will be entirely project led, ensuring you practice your skills from the very start.

Our multi-disciplinary biomedical engineering course mixes engineering with biomedical science and physiology. This provides you with a solid understanding of the technological developments taking place in the fields of medical engineering and bioengineering.
