Our Economics with Law BSc (Hons) will provide you with a full understanding of the forces shaping the way we live. Studying Economics, you’ll engage with the structures that make for wealth and well-being, as well as learning the quantitative skills needed to engage with academic economics as commonly practised. In your Law studies, you will learn about the legal forces which constrain how individuals act, and which thus have an impact on the wider societal structures that you will study in Economics. 

The Combined Honours Law LLB is a Qualifying Law Degree, covering all of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board required areas of study to permit progression onto the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister.

Your Law with Economics LLB (Hons) will equip you with the skills highly sought after by employers. The English with Philosophy BA (Hons) will allow you to develop the skills needed to analyse texts and arguments clearly, and with nuance and precision. In addition to taking period papers focusing on literature from 1550 to the present day, you’ll study rhetoric and stylistics. You will also study classic philosophical texts from antiquity to the present day, which investigate the nature of the world and how we ought to interact with it.

Develop quantitative skills and study the structures which affect real-life decisions around the world while looking closely at works of art, architecture and design, in order to understand their aesthetic, cultural, and economic contexts.

The Politics with Psychology BSc (Hons) combines the study of Politics & International Relations with Psychology.
Your Psychology minor complements these studies by exploring biological, cognitive, and psychosocial areas of contemporary scientific psychology, leading to differences in social behaviours and attitudes and personality dynamics.

This innovative degree allows you to consider how the psychology of individuals shapes government, as well as how sociocultural links affect international relations. You will gain valuable skills in critical thinking, communication and the analysis of behaviour, which will prepare you for a range of careers in public and private sectors, such as policymaking, civil service, marketing and communications and consulting.

The central aim of the Politics and International Relations minor is to analyse the relationship between the individual and the state, and the sources of state authority and forms of government, by understanding resource distribution and value allocation.

Examine the practice and applications of history, and compare political institutions of different countries, analysing their legitimacy to dictate over their subjects.

The Art History with Data Science BA (Hons) will allow you to study the full range of artistic expression and hone your writing skills. The programme combines cultural surveys with more intense, media-specific subjects including architecture, landscape and painting. Through your Data Science minor, you’ll be able to analyse data to effectively extract useful information.

The Art History with English BA (Hons) will allow you to study the full range of artistic expression. You’ll have the opportunity to interpret moments of history as manifested in works of art from antiquity to the contemporary, originating from as diverse cultures as Europe, China, and North America. Survey courses are combined with more media-specific subjects, such as architecture, landscapes, painting, and in English, a range of literary forms and critical responses to them.
