Our MA in Peace, Resilience and Social Justice is designed for those seeking an advanced understanding of the intersecting crises of climate change/ecological degradation, inequality and injustice, conflict and violence.
The programme critically examines how different actors are responding to these challenges, including efforts to rethink the assumptions and practices that shape our ways of life, public engagement, contentious collective action and practical efforts to design and create more resilient, sustainable and equitable communities.

You will critically explore themes such as:

• The contested meanings of peace, resilience and social justice in a complex and changing world;
• The ways in which scholars, practitioners and activists are analysing and engaging with complex social-ecological systems and crises;
• Creative approaches to conflict engagement, peacebuilding and the pursuit of social justice;

The three-year full-time degree in Nursing leads to a professional nursing qualification and eligibility to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

This is a practical, patient-centred course with equal amounts of theory and clinical practice which enables students to experience different aspects of healthcare.

Our degree in Archaeology integrates traditional archaeology with the practical application of scientific methods that are applied to today’s archaeology.

It is a professionally-focused degree in archaeology with a strong fieldwork component and a focus on human osteology or the environment.

Your degree pathway in the second and final years will comprise a number of compulsory core modules that characterise this combination of archaeology and applied archaeological science. Forensic Archaeology is the specialist application of archaeological techniques to the search and recovery of evidential material from crime scenes, often but not always related to buried human remains.

This course is taught by staff with extensive crime scene experience who regularly work on a range of operations and are at the forefront of the professional development of the discipline.

The course will:

• Provide you with advanced practical, analytical and interpretative skills in forensic archaeology

You’ll first learn the principles that underpin computer science, giving you a strong technical foundation on which to build. The programme shares a common first year with our computer science programmes, enabling you to transfer between programmes at the end of the first year if interests or career aspirations emerge in other areas.

On graduation you will then need to successfully complete a 1-year pre-registration period in order to become a qualified pharmacist. The Master’s Finance and Investment places an emphasis on specialist areas within finance including undertaking financial investments, financial modelling, mathematical finance and financial management roles within mainstream financial firms. There will be particular focus on providing students with the conceptual understanding, knowledge and technical skills that are required to implement advanced financial models in a practical way.

The Master’s programme in Finance and Investment is built on a foundation of general Finance and Financial Management, Econometrics and Investment modules.
