Suitable for graduates with any degree who have some quantitative training, this interdisciplinary programme provides comprehensive training across the business-relevant disciplines with a strong focus on real-world applications. Second term courses are grouped into two pathways – Strategy and Business or International Economics and Finance – or students have the flexibility to choose their own units.

This course combines philosophy with the study of Spanish, which provides a valuable skill set that is ideally tailored to the increasingly globalised workplace.

For philosophy you will study units covering introduction to philosophy, logic, and realism and normativity.

For Spanish, you will follow a curriculum designed to introduce you to many aspects of Hispanic and Latin American studies. As well as following a structured language course, you will study literature, history, thought, politics, linguistics and culture.

Spanish is the second most widely spoken European language in the world and is the second language of the US.

This course allows you to combine two historically interlinked disciplines and develop a breadth of skills across both economics and philosophy.

The economics part of the course is technically rigorous. You will build your analytical skills with mandatory units in macro- and microeconomics, mathematics, statistics and econometrics (the application of statistical methods to data to estimate economic models). These are complemented by units in philosophy, which will equip you with skills in textual analysis, written and verbal expression, logic and critical thinking.

As you progress through your degree you will be able to take an increasing number of optional units to specialise in the areas that interest you most.

We offer you the opportunity to extend your degree to four years and spend your third year studying economics in English at a top-ranking university in Europe or farther afield. The MA in Philosophy will give you a thorough grounding in the core knowledge and skills required for philosophical research, while also allowing you to pursue your own philosophical interests in depth.

The MA is an exciting programme that provides an opportunity to design a path to match your philosophical interests. You will take three core taught units plus three additional units that you will select from a range of options. Your dissertation is an opportunity to work on an extended and original piece of research on a topic of your choosing, with guidance from a research supervisor. You will develop a deep knowledge and understanding of key areas of philosophy and a sophisticated ability to critically evaluate and assess philosophical theories.

This course offers you an opportunity to pursue a career in accounting, with the benefit of spending one year studying abroad. You will study the politics of individual countries and governments and the relationships between countries, communities, and individuals.

Politics is organised around three themes:

• Political theory
• Comparative and national politics
• International relations.

In Russian you will study a combination of language and culture units, introducing you to a linguistic and cultural tradition spanning some of Europe's most important literary and cinematic developments and ideological trends.
