Accredited by the Institute of Export, this MSc delivers a thorough understanding of the management and operational requirements necessary to trade successfully in international markets.

The programme is heavily focused on the application of theory into practice and how the skills developed throughout your studies will be used to best advantage in a professional environment. You will learn how international companies operate, and will develop the skills to enable your involvement in the whole process from initial engagement with a new market, right through to the delivery of a product or service.

Throughout the year, you will learn to identify business opportunities, formulate strategic options, and define business-winning propositions, as well as learning to manage, lead change, and improve operational and supply chain processes.

The International Trade, Strategy and Operations MSc investigates and analyses real-world applications. It is set within a truly global context due to the international nature of case studies and examples which illustrate the issues and challenges facing a range of stakeholders, from businesses at a micro-level, to governmental bodies at a macro-level. Teaching from the course team will be both research and experience led, as many of the course team members are active research participants and/or have experience of engaging with business in a variety of areas on an international scale.

This course will appeal equally to those students with a background in international trade, strategy or operations who wish to specialise further in these areas and students from a wide range of other disciplines who wish to pursue a career in the international field.

You will receive practical and theoretical training in two core modules and further specialisation as well as broader knowledge in six optional modules of your choice. Teaching at Master’s level places greater emphasis on practical work than at undergraduate level. This includes coursework reports and learning state-of-the-art specialised research subfields.

After completing successfully the taught portion of the course, you will continue for a further ten weeks to put your knowledge into practice through a dissertation.

Are you keen to specialise in the academic study of your chosen language and culture, and do you have the motivation to develop an individual research path, leading potentially to PhD study? This course combines taught modules with language-specific research and offers an advanced preparation for doctoral research.

You will work with the support of leading researchers, drawing on expertise in critical theory, research skills and key research themes. BSc Health and Medical sciences, a course offered by Warwick, enables students to investigate current local and global problems in health from multiple perspectives.

Wherever we look in the world, health and medical services are struggling to cope with the rising demand and increasing burden of disease. Advances in the scientific understanding of health and disease, along with technological innovations offer exciting opportunities for improved health, but also present novel challenges to our health systems in terms of developing affordable and accessible treatment and health management strategies.

Multiple factors ranging from our genes to our lifestyle and interactions within society will influence our physical and mental health and wellbeing. Multidisciplinary solutions to health problems must be multi-faceted and comprehensive, requiring individuals who have the skills to work across boundaries as agents for change.

The BSc in Health and Medical Sciences will help you understand current local and global problems in health through the integrated perspectives of health science and medical science. Medical sciences, including molecular biology, genetics and epigenetics, physiology, anatomy, immunology, pharmacology, discovery science and clinical trials, aims to promote an in-depth understanding of human biology, health and disease from the level of DNA, cells, and systems in the human body up to the level of patient as a whole.

Health Sciences, including health care systems, patient safety, ethics, human behaviour, psychology of health, sociology, epidemiology and health economics aims to promote an in-depth understanding of health problems from the level of individuals, families, the workplace, up to the level of societies and populations. Therefore, this course will equip you with the essential skills to be able to make a valuable contribution to health in our society, both locally and globally.

Case-based learning, a signature educational approach for Warwick Medical School, and small group teaching is a feature of the course as is technology enhanced learning. This degree includes a year abroad studying German law at a university in Germany and is aimed at those with a strong grasp of the German language.

You will develop an excellent understanding of core legal principles of both the English and the German legal systems. Examining the law from a modern, international and critical perspective will equip you for the demands of a global legal market.

You will gain insight into the impact on the law of cultural, economic and political developments, and learn how law affects everyday life in the UK, Germany and beyond.

Study abroad

This course features an integral year abroad, in which you will study approved law modules at one of our partner universities in Germany which currently include Konstanz, Saarbrücken and Berlin.

This course is designed for technically-minded graduates with a background in computer science, mathematics or the physical sciences.

It provides a distinctive perspective on data analytics that combines aspects of computer science, business, engineering and mathematics. Alongside the technical skills and expertise the course develops, this means that our graduates can pursue opportunities at the forefront of an emerging discipline that will continue to revolutionise science and industry for years to come.

History at Warwick asks you to look critically at the motivations, context and characters behind the events that define world history from the Renaissance to the present day. Our far-reaching approach allows you to explore historical topics in depth from around the globe. The department is studded with expertise spanning the British Isles, continental Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin and North America.

In your first year we'll support you as you develop a foundational understanding of the past. You'll then be ready to choose between working towards a Modern or Renaissance and Modern History degree. The Modern History degree offers a diverse, global curriculum of important historical themes and topics. The Renaissance and Modern degree gives you the chance to explore your historical interests while also spending a term in Venice. Throughout your degree you'll have the freedom to develop your own independent view on the historical themes that most excite you.

Students will be offered the opportunity at the start of their second year to apply for an optional Year Abroad. Following the application process, those students who are offered and take up a Year Abroad place transfer to the four-year History (with a Year Abroad), with the Year Abroad as the third of the four years.

Study abroad

On Renaissance and Modern students spend the autumn term of their final year studying with Warwick tutors in Venice. All students also have the opportunity to apply for an intercalated year abroad at one of our partner universities. The MSc in Mental Health and Wellbeing is designed for those who are interested in mental health and wellbeing in non-clinical populations. Learning will be enriched by an interdisciplinary approach and teaching will be delivered by world-leading experts across the fields of psychology, business, economics, medicine, health and behavioural sciences. This course offers basic and advanced training in the science and application of mental health research.

The taught components of the course include modules on research methods, basic and advanced issues in mental health research and practice, and real-world interventions. Teaching is delivered by experts in the field from the Departments of Psychology, Warwick Business School, Warwick Medical School, and Warwick Manufacturing Group to combine academic and practical experience.

The practical component of the course is a three-month research placement in a business environment. The focus of the project will be agreed between the student, academic supervisor, and organisational supervisor.
