The Arkansas State University MBA Program is a professional degree program designed to prepare students of all educational and professional backgrounds for management positions in all types of organizations. As such, the program stresses the development of analytical, problem-solving and decision making competencies for the dynamic, complex global organizational and social environments.

Finance - Concentration
The MBA with a Concentration in Finance is designed to allow students to complement their studies in business administration with in-depth coverage of the core components of ?nance, including corporate ?nance, ?nancial markets and institutions, and investments. Students will complete the 27 hours within the MBA core and 9 additional hours of graduate level ?nance coursework.

The Department of Art at Arkansas State University will provide an educational environment that fosters the creation and understanding of art. Students in art develop insight, sensitivity, and perception toward all aspects of nature while building individual expressive responses. Aesthetic and functional values, creative ideas, and media skills are developed through instructional guidance and applied experience in the studio and classroom.

Learning Outside the Classroom
Some of the courses may involve field trips to Memphis Brooks Museum, The Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, or other regional art collections. Arkansas State University is an Accredited Institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programs are designed to prepare students for professional careers as a classroom art teacher, graphic designer, or studio artist. The BFA in Art (with emphasis in Studio Art or Art Education) is the initial professional degree, and it is the requisite degree for the student who plans to pursue a studio-oriented post-baccalaureate degree

Agricultural Education Emphasis
The focus of the program is to prepare outstanding future educators and leaders in the public and private sectors.  The Agricultural Education program is structured around the needs of students and their career goals.  Students in the program are required to take personal responsibility for their education to include involvement and participation in courses and extracurricular activities which are essential to learning and future career success. Formal and informal learning experiences are designed to enable students to successfully progress through the program encouraging academic and professional development as well as personal growth.

Agricultural Science Emphasis
The Agricultural Science emphasis at A-State offers students access to a broad array of agriculture discipline areas.  This emphasis allows the student to develop a diverse knowledge within five major agriculture areas, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Studies, Animal Science, Plant and Soil Science, and Technology.  In addition to our Agriculture core classes, the student selects twelve hours in each of the discipline areas.  An additional 18 hours minor is required and can be used to enhance a specialized area of study which will serve the student’s specific needs or interests.  Many graduates become involved with agriculture business and production entities.

Agricultural Systems Technology Emphasis
The Agricultural Systems Technology Science emphasis at A-State offers students access to a broad array of agriculture and technology discipline areas.  This emphasis allows the student to develop a diverse knowledge of agriculture and technology.

The Radiologic Sciences Programs are administered by the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. The program is designed to produce Radiologic Science professionals who are clinically competent, advanced level radiologic sciences practitioners. The program is a "1 plus 1" model, meaning all students begin their sophomore year in radiography, then choose one of six "tracks" for their senior year.

Radiation Therapy
Provides students with the skills necessary to operate therapeutic radiation oncology systems and thus become a professional, entry level radiation therapist.

The Arkansas State University MAcc Program is a professional degree program designed to prepare students for careers in accounting and related fields. This program prepares students for advancement beyond entry-level positions, and provides an excellent avenue to obtaining the 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam.

For students with an undergraduate accounting degree from an U.S. AACSB accredited university, the program usually requires 30 hours of course work. Students holding an undergraduate business degree in another field from an AACSB accredited university are required to take the accounting prerequisites.

The B.A. in English is the quintessential Liberal Arts Degree. English B.A. graduates are likely to be seen anywhere -- sitting in a law school class; reading in a coffee shop on the campus where they teach English; working in a government office; working as a technical writer trying to rephrase something from computer-speak to ordinary English ; or preparing for the ministry in a seminary. Animal Science involves study of the science and business of producing domestic livestock, such as beef and dairy cattle, swine, poultry, sheep and goats.  An animal scientist applies principles of the biological, physical, and social sciences to the problems associated with livestock production, management, and welfare.  Animal Science is also concerned with human food (meat, milk, eggs, etc.) produced from domesticated livestock species.  The food processing industry is one of the largest industries in the U.S.  In addition, Animal Science includes aspects of companion animals (horses, dogs, cats, etc.), including their nutrition, care, and welfare.

The M.S.E. degree in Social Science is rooted in a solid core of History and Social Science, along with 9 credit hours in Education.
