The public health AA pathway is for students interested in earning Bachelor's degrees in public health or related fields. This program provides a broad-level understanding of the goals and challenges of public administration and the relationship of these to more specialized aspects of planning, organization, management, and analysis in the public sector at the national, state, and local levels.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The digital media multimedia game design AS degree teaches you how to create computer games  using graphics, animation, programming languages and specialized software. Prepare for jobs such as desktop publisher, production designer, electronic publisher, illustrator, multimedia specialist, multimedia presentation developer, interface designer, computer graphic designer, and project manager.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in databases, networking, and web systems to meet the technological needs of business and industry.

If you are a licensed or licensure-eligible paramedic, or have been accepted into the paramedic program, the emergency medical services AS degree program offers you an opportunity to specialize in education, management or technology.

Course work combines classroom lecture, practical skills laboratory and actual patient clinical experiences. The lecture portion (seven credit hours) covers the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for the Emergency Medical Technician as well as skills required by the state. The practical skills laboratory portion (three credit hours) includes application practice and performance testing in simulated patient care situations. The clinical portion (two credit hour) provides actual patient care during transport to a hospital and in the hospital setting.

The nuclear medicine technology AS degree prepares you for a medical imaging specialty that uses radioactive materials to aid in the diagnosis, staging and treatment of illnesses such as cancer, heart disease and dysfunctional thyroid disease. Learn the function and structure of virtually every major organ system within the body.

Offered on the Dale Mabry Campus with clinical experience at several locations in the greater Tampa Bay area, this program is fully accredited and requires a full-time two year commitment. Classes and clinical internships are offered only during the daytime. Graduates are eligible for both nuclear medicine certification exams: the NMTCB and the ARRT-Nuclear Medicine.

Nursing is a challenging, rewarding career. A nationwide nursing shortage means great career opportunities are available. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), our nursing AS degree program takes four semesters, and graduates are eligible to take the National licensing exam NCLEX. The web designer AS degree prepares you to be a web designer, webmaster, e-commerce developer or intranet architect.

Individuals who are LPNs are eligible to enroll in an accelerated program leading to an AS degree in Nursing and subsequently be in a position to take the licensing examination. The program is designed to assist these professionals’ pursuit of an Associate degree in Nursing (ADN). This program is offered once a year starting in the summer term on the Dale Mabry campus. Nursing graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and, upon successful completion, receive the RN license.

The respiratory care AS degree prepares you to treat patients who have difficulty breathing due to pulmonary or cardiac disease. Learn to work with premature infants, children, trauma victims and patients requiring life support. Respiratory therapists work in physician offices, home care setting, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, sleep study departments and hospitals. The need for respiratory therapists continues to increase due to a growing elderly population; environmental problems; and technological advances in the treatment of lung disease, heart attack, cancer, accident victims and premature babies.

Graduates may take the national certification and registry exams to become licensed practitioners in the US.
