The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management program at Thomas Jefferson University is accredited by the Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) of ABET.  ABET-ANSAC evaluates 4-year Construction Management programs to approve that “Graduates of Construction Management programs will have the knowledge, as well as the technical, administrative and communication skills, necessary to succeed in the construction industry.” The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program, BS in Construction Management emphasizes the importance of a rich and productive collaboration between construction, project management and design.

Our Mission
Jefferson’s construction management program’s mission is to prepare students to be ethical, innovative problem-solvers who understand the full construction business model. Upon graduation, students possess a working knowledge of the construction business model and will be equipped with the technical knowledge and administrative and communication skills to plan and manage each phase of the construction process.

Cardiac sonographers, also known as echocardiographers, use ultrasound to examine the heart's chambers, walls, valves and vessels. They use technology such as sophisticated diagnostic ultrasound imaging machines and transducers that use high-frequency sound waves to produce dynamic visual images to complete important tasks, such as:

• Acquiring information related to the heart's anatomy and physiology
• Producing real-time images of cardiac structures to assist the physician in diagnosing cardiovascular disease
• Evaluating acquired and congenital cardiac abnormalities and associated complications
• Evaluating narrowed or leaking heart valves
• Looking for causes of murmurs, chest pain, shortness of breath
• Tracking and evaluating chronic heart conditions

Cardiac sonographers work directly with healthy and critically ill inpatients and outpatients of all ages in predominantly noninvasive procedures, carried out in small, low-lit rooms. They stand or sit beside the patient, who is on a stretcher, exam table or wheelchair. Sometimes the cardiac sonographer will transport a portable ultrasound to a patient's room and perform the test there.

In our stimulating and supportive environment, you will build a strong foundation in sciences and humanities, preparing you for success in upper-division courses in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences.

As a student in this program, you will complete two years of pre-professional coursework with other pre-medical and health students on Jefferson’s East Falls Campus. In late fall of your second year, you will interview and begin the process of working with faculty to select concentrations in the medical imaging and radiation sciences professional program. Students who interview and maintain progression criteria are guaranteed to matriculate into the professional phase. Jefferson’s academic advisors and faculty work closely with our students on course selection and academic performance to ensure that each student is on pace to transition into the professional phase of the program.

The M.S. in User Experience and Interaction Design is an 18-month to two-year on-campus program made up of 31-37 credits, depending on an applicant’s qualifications upon entering the program. This program is designed to prepare working professionals and recent college graduates to expand their careers into the rapidly moving fields of User Experience Design (UX) and Interaction Design (IxD).

What is User Experience & Interaction Design?

The role of User Experience (UX) and Interaction Design (IxD) expands as digital technology allows for more and more innovative applications. We must create aesthetic, engaging and dynamic experiences for users to interact with in order to take full advantage of current and future technologies, and immerse users in media. For these reasons, a M.S. in User Experience and Interaction Design degree prepares graduates with the necessary skills to evolve the standards of communication and interaction.

To compete in today's growing market, professionals must have the tools necessary to approach each task effectively, including practical interactive knowledge, technological skills, development, production and post-production knowledge, visual communication skills and information literacy.

Graduates of the MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences will demonstrate expertise in the design and application of research methodologies to meet the needs of the evolving biomedical and pharmaceutical industries and academic laboratories. The curriculum provides instruction in all phases of the drug and biologic development process including preclinical drug discovery and development (computational design and synthesis of new molecular entities and molecular characterization), screening and formulation, analytical support for clinical trials, health care pharmacogenomics profiling, metabolite analysis, pharmacokinetic characterization and pharmacodynamics.

The program is part of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy (JCP) and offered in collaboration with Jefferson College of Life Sciences. The program may be completed on either a full-time or part-time course of study and students enrolling in this 34 credit MS program may select either a thesis or non-thesis track.

When you come to Thomas Jefferson University, you join a fashion design program that is modeled on the fashion industry and you should prepare to immerse yourself in the world of fashion. You will be transformed into a fashion design professional through hands-on experience with computerized design and production equipment while also building a strong foundation in design and technical courses.

The TJU fashion design program prepares you to influence the fashion design world. Our alumni work as fashion professionals in all areas and levels of the fashion industry, following in the footsteps of our distinguished faculty who have served as leaders in both the design and production sides of the fashion industry. With such a strong network of fashion expertise, you will have plenty of opportunities to land coveted internships and start careers in companies including PVH, Lilly Pulitzer, Anthropologie, Free People, Coach, Nannette Lepore, BCBG Maxazria, Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Urban Outfitters, and Vogue Magazine.

A broad range of psychology courses coupled with research, internships, and study-abroad experiences will thoroughly prepare you for graduate programs at top schools.
You have the power to tailor your curriculum to match your unique ambitions. You will choose half of the 16 psychology classes you need to take for your major – a more thorough curriculum than many other programs.  Required courses include very popular topics like Abnormal Psychology and Developmental Psychology. You will also have the opportunity to declare a minor of your choice, to further tailor your education for your particular interests.

You will also learn how to conduct professional-level research, completing an independent senior research project – a great opportunity to join our growing number of published undergraduates.

The M.S. in Textile Technology at Jefferson offers an integrated and collaborative curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with experiential laboratory experiences. In many courses students turn innovative ideas into original products.  It is expected that graduates of the program will pursue careers in production, product evaluation, research and development, or management in the textile and apparel related fields.

The program teaches cutting-edge technical textile processes to students interested in learning more about the science and technical based aspects of textiles. Courses focus on development, production, and characterization of fibers, yarns, fabrics, and textile based products.   The program combines theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with hands-on experience with weaving, knitting, nonwovens, and composites production equipment in the innovative Fashion and Textiles Futures Center, as well as materials evaluation equipment in the Grundy Lab on the East Falls campus.

Thomas Jefferson University and The Center for Forensic Science Research & Education (The Center) have collaborated to offer the MS program in Forensic Toxicology. This is a unique program designed to position students for advancement and professional development in the specific field of forensic toxicology.

This is a full-time, two year program with courses taught at both the  Jefferson - Center City campus and The Center's Willow Grove, PA location.

This partnership will provide our students with expertise in all areas of toxicology, including:

• Workplace drug testing
• Post mortem analysis
• Human performance toxicology
• Legal procedure and ethics
• Business & management coursework

The Program also gives students essential, hands-on training through the Center's internship program, provided at their state-of-the-art facility in Willow Grove, PA. This practicum immerses students in mock casework samples and provides them with experience in drug and toxin detection and extraction, quantification, instrumental analysis and data interpretation and report writing. The Program culminates in moot court experiences.

Interdisciplinary Studies majors become effective professionals who are skilled communicators and solvers of complex social, civic, and professional issues—in local, national or global contexts. Through experience in a variety of liberal arts and professional methodologies, you will become a skilled researcher and thinker who not only knows where to look for information but also is able to assess how to apply disciplinary strengths in innovative ways to a variety of existing and emerging professions.
