Business Analytics and Information Systems
The Business Analytics and Information Systems (BAIS) major provides the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the rapidly changing world of business analytics and information systems. Potential career paths include data analyst, business intelligence analyst, business analyst, consulting, systems analyst, database administrator, project manager or a myriad of technology management roles in business.

Graphic Arts with Illustration Concentration
The Graphic Arts degree offers students a sequence of rigorous courses that balance critical thinking and pragmatic experience, complemented by the enriched experience of the liberal arts environment of the University of South Florida.

Graphic artists develop the images that give voice to the world around us. Using their raw materials - the ability to think, draw, write, speak and design - students learn the skills to solve specific visual problems. The study of typography, design concepts, and digital technology develops an understanding of the tradition, practice, and process of graphic design.

This program guides students in building the imagination, aesthetic sensitivity, and powers of critical thought required to succeed as visual communicators. The curriculum emphasizes expertise in image development, typography, print and screen-based graphics, and interactive design. The program prepares students for the rigor of professional design practice through an internship program, courses in production, and portfolio development. Additionally, students design, organize and promote an exhibition of their final senior project.

The Chemistry B.A. gives students exposure to analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry while providing the flexibility to take additional elective courses. Students interested in professional, law, or graduate school or those who anticipate working in careers related to secondary education or business will find this degree attractive. The B.A. student whose goals include graduate study should supplement this curriculum by addition and/or substitution of a selection of advanced courses from the B.S. program. The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry provides opportunities for curricula individually tailored to meet many career objectives.

Geology incorporates the fundamentals of biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics to study the earth and the processes that affect our planet.  This degree offers advanced geoscience education and training suitable for joining professional workforce and/or as the foudnatino for pursuing a Ph.D.

The purpose of this major is to prepare teachers to be highly qualified and provide access to the general curriculum in least restrictive school environments to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (InD).

The Major benefits the University, local community and the state can be summarized in two ways. In a quantitative way, the major meets the need of preparing effective teachers to work with the growing number of students in general and special education who are identified as having ASD and/or InD labels. This is demonstrated through the critical shortage of data at a national and state level and also in the surveys of local school districts to USF. In a qualitative way, the major meets the need to prepare effective teachers to work with this group of students that represents a paradigmatic shift in where and how these students learn. Students with ASD and/or InD labels need meaningful access to general education curriculum and their typically developing peers and this major meets this need.

Computer Science
The Computer Science program focuses on the design, development, and application of software systems. Additional course work in algorithms, discrete structures, object oriented design, data structures, operating systems, digital logic design, computer architecture, and a wide range of advanced electives extend and supplement the core.

The M.A. degree in Religious Studies provides opportunities for students with backgrounds in the scholarly study of religion to expand their knowledge of the social, cultural, intellectual, and historical contexts of religion, to develop a greater in-depth knowledge of particular religious traditions, and to acquire proficiency with a variety of pertinent methodologies and theoretical perspectives. The degree serves the needs of students who pursue careers in health professions in education, journalism, law, business, politics, and social work. It will be of special value to those interested in pursuing a doctorate in religious studies.

The Master of Science in Advanced Athletic Training has an emphasis on youth sports injury and other advanced athletic training competencies. This post-professional major is directed towards students either who hold the athletic training credential issued by the Board of Certification (BOC) or who are BOC-eligible or have equivalent athletic training professional preparation and wish to seek an advanced degree.  This major is designed to provide students with a post-professional degree in Advanced Athletic Training with an emphasis on youth sports injury.  For information on tuition costs, please contact the Department.

Economics
Economics offers a clear and logical way of thinking about complicated issues such as unemployment, inflation, pollution, and crime. The Department of Economics offers broad course choices allowing students to tailor their programs to provide training for professional careers in business, teaching, government, and law. Students interested in majoring or minoring in economics should contact the undergraduate advisor in the Department of Economics for more information.

The B.A. program is designed for students who are not currently planning to attend physics graduate school and/or who want to pursue parallel studies in other fields such as mathematics, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, business, pre-med, pre-law, and teacher education.
