The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a professional degree designed to prepare graduates for managerial and/or leadership roles in organizations. Graduates will develop the necessary skills and problem?solving techniques that will permit them to make an early contribution to management and eventually to move into broad, general management responsibilities at the executive level.

The Bachelor of Arts program is designed primarily for the liberal arts student who has an interest in careers in Geoscience education or environmental policy and law. A student who elects the B.A. program and decides to pursue the geology profession or attend graduate school will need at least field geology in his/her program.

International Year One General will prepare you to enter the second year of a bachelor's degree program at the University of South Florida. Economics
Economics offers a clear and logical way of thinking about complicated issues such as unemployment, inflation, pollution, and crime. The Department of Economics offers broad course choices allowing students to tailor their programs to provide training for professional careers in business, teaching, government, and law. Students interested in majoring or minoring in economics should contact the undergraduate advisor in the Department of Economics for more information.

The B.F.A. program in Studio Art will expose the student to many possibilities in the art-making process. The areas of emphasis in art media are animation, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and video. These options provide access to a comprehensive program of study in art. Students can develop their conceptual and technical skills in a particular art discipline or decide to investigate a specific subject through the use of numerous media and “mixed” forms of art.

The Sociology major is designed to provide students with a broad liberal arts education and a greater understanding and insight into the social systems and processes that bear upon everyday lives. Opportunities for students with Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology are quite varied. Some go on to work for human service agencies; others work in personnel, criminal justice, and urban planning; others enter graduate programs in sociology, education, law, medicine, or social work. Toward these ends, all students are encouraged to become skilled in the use of computers and libraries.

The Spanish Section of the Department of World Languages supports a broad, intellectually-driven approach to teaching language, culture, and literature in higher education. Languages and cultures are complex, multifunctional phenomena that link an individual to other individuals, to communities and to national cultures. The graduate major in Spanish offers students academic and practical training in the languages, literatures and cultures of the Spanish-speaking communities of Spain, Latin America, and the United States. Students who receive a Masters of Arts in Spanish from the Department of World Language Education at USF become well-educated communicators with deep translingual and transcultural competence. Thus, they are exceptionally prepared to either continue studies leading to the Ph.D., or find careers in related fields such as the teaching profession, translation, government, civil service agencies, legal and paralegal services, or foreign and domestic business enterprises.

Electrical Engineering
The Electrical Engineering major offers study in all areas fundamental to the analysis, design, and development of electrical devices and systems. ?The areas covered by the major include foundational topics such as circuits and electrical power, to applications such as Internet of Things, Smart Grid, Security,  and Data Analytics. The major offers curriculum tracks that include: Bioelectrical Systems, Communication Systems, Energy, Power and Sustainability, Mechatronics, Robotics and Embedded Systems, Micro and Nano-scale Systems and Wireless Systems. Statistics
Statistics is a science of information gathering, data analysis, and decision making. It is a discipline that blends the applied with the theoretical and our courses reflect this mix. These courses provide an excellent preparation for careers in industrial statistics, actuarial science, biostatistics, and statistical research.

The M.A. degree at USF is intended for the currently practicing music educator who wishes to increase their understanding of informal learning and learner-centered pedagogies.
