The St. Louis Joint Undergraduate Engineering Program combines strengths of two universities to provide a flexible engineering program for the St. Louis Community.

Cybersecurity is currently one of the most critical issues facing individuals, organizations, governments and society. Media reports are replete with breaches of information security and the adverse consequences for all stakeholders involved. At the same time, industry and government reports indicate a continued severe shortage of skilled cybersecurity talent across both public and private sectors.

UMSL offers dynamic, industry-driven cybersecurity curricula at the master’s level. The Master of Science (MS) in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary program jointly provided by the departments of Information Systems and Technology (College of Business Administration) and Computer Science (College of Arts and Sciences). It is designed to equip students with a vital combination of business and technical knowledge, and it produces professionals who can protect information resources and manage people while making cybersecurity a priority in each technology initiative.

This M.S. degree in biochemistry & biotechnology is offered in cooperation with the Department of Biology and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. This degree program encompasses both the basic principles and the technological applications of biochemistry and biotechnology, and provides students with the training they need to become a part of the broad life sciences industry.The M.S. degree in Biochemistry & Biotechnology can be earned with a thesis or without a thesis. The thesis option requires full-time enrollment, whereas the non-thesis option does not. All students admitted to the program are considered to be in the non-thesis option unless a faculty member of the program has accepted them as a thesis student.

The BS in Data Science and Analysis is an interdisciplinary program that is designed for students who want to develop statistical and data science skills. While data science is at the core of this program, students will also select a specialization from one of the following emphasis areas: biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, social science or supply chain analytics.

Students will learn the latest techniques including Python, R, Big Data and Data Mining. This degree will require between 36- and 51-credit hours to complete, depending on the emphasis area selected.

The BS in Psychology involves the application of foundational knowledge and skills from math and the natural sciences to the study of behavior. Students can concentrate their advanced coursework in a specific disciplinary subfield including behavioral neuroscience, child psychology, clinical psychology, or health psychology/pre-health psychology.

High school Spanish teachers provide beginning, intermediate and advanced courses that cover speaking, listening and writing in Spanish. They also provide education in the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and may also teach Spanish literature.

The BS in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Modern Foreign Language – Spanish, prepares students to teach in K-12 settings. This program requires the selection and completion of required coursework in Spanish and includes field and practicum experiences in high school settings, culminating in Missouri teacher certification.

The BS in Data Science and Analysis is an interdisciplinary program that is designed for students who want to develop statistical and data science skills. The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an Emphasis in Fiscal Mathematics provides a sufficient background in mathematics, statistics and computer science, to produce graduates who can work in areas requiring applied mathematical techniques and tools. This degree is structured to allow additional optional courses that enable the student to focus on a variety of further areas of interest. 

The Psychological Sciences Department offers a master's (M.A.) degree with an emphasis in Behavioral Neuroscience (BN). The BN program has adopted an apprenticeship model of graduate training in which each student works closely and continuously with a faculty member within the realm of the faculty member's research interests. The Master of Science (M.S.) in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary program jointly provided by the departments of Information Systems and Technology (College of Business Administration) and Computer Science (College of Arts and Sciences).

The Computer Science emphasis builds on the foundation of an undergraduate cybersecurity or computer science degree and expects students to have prior background in foundational computer science areas or complete some foundational courses upon entry. This emphasis is designed to be focused on technical aspects of cybersecurity and provides greater depth than that afforded at an undergraduate level.
