Explore preparing and using financial reporting statements, mastering budgeting processes and operational planning, and advanced accounting principles that are crucial for careers in roles such as CPA, tax manager, budget analyst, or auditing manager. Accounting talent is in demand across diverse industries such as insurance, healthcare, or information technology, as well as in the public sector, serving accounting or financial management functions in nonprofit or government. The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychological Science is a degree designed for students who are interested in pursuing research-oriented careers that may or may not require graduate level training such as experimental psychology .

Our curriculum is designed to provide our students with breadth and depth of knowledge in psychology as well as professional skills in research both inside and outside of the classroom. Along with other foundation courses, the degree requires a year-long research course sequence (i.e. Advance Research I and II) that provides students with the opportunity to conduct a human subjects research project from beginning to the end. The BS in Psychological Science major consists of 60 credits in psychology, 4 credits in Calculus, and 4 credits in Biological Science.

The field of geography is one of the most exciting and dynamic disciplines at Rowan University. Far more than memorizing capital cities and place names on a map, geography is an engaging field that has a wide diversity of specializations that provide outstanding preparation for high-demand and rewarding careers in environmental management, spatial analysis and sustainability. The common themes that unite all geographers are the scientific exploration of the earth and spatial analysis. One branch of geography focuses on people (human geography) and the other branch focuses on the environment (physical geography). There are multiple sub-disciplines within the field that cover everything from geology and climatology to demography and planning.

The B.A. degree program in Chemistry is designed primarily to prepare graduates to teach at the high school level. To follow this career path, a student must also earn a B.A. in Education. Both degrees must be selected upon entrance to Rowan.

This program may also be taken as a stand alone degree. It provides the foundation for science-related careers in industry and government, including forensics. The B.A. program also provides excellent preparation for students who plan to apply for medical, dental, veterinarian, pharmacy, and optometry schools.

Rowan's Physics major balances general physics courses that develop analytical skills needed for any career direction with more advanced courses in highly technical areas. The department also offers coursework in astronomy and astrophysics. Personal attention is a hallmark of the program: enrollment in laboratory-based physics classes is limited to 24 students per section, and all lectures and labs are taught by faculty, not teaching assistants. In our junior-level Research Methods courses, students will have access to state-of-the-art equipment as they plan and execute a project under the direction of our research faculty. Physics majors can enter fields such as education, going on to teach at the secondary level, or pursue an advanced degree to become a college profesor and/or conduct research; others may enter fields such as busiess, computers, engineering, finance, law, and medicine.

The Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology degree, through the four-field approach of cultural, physical, linguistic, and archaeology, is designed to prepare students to succeed in the 21st century and find employment in research, teaching, development, advocacy, health care among diverse populations, consumer research, community-based organizations, non-profits, and public service. Anthropology Majors will have the option of concentrating their studies in one of four subfield tracks. These are forensic anthropology, museum studies, medical anthropology, and cultural resource management and archaeology. The BA Anthropology degree will also support those students who wish to pursue further study in graduate or professional schools. By acquiring an anthropological perspective on diversity, culture, and ethnography as well as developing strong social and natural scientific research skills, students will expand their career opportunities.

The B.S. Computer Science program focuses on developing flexible professionals who are equipped to learn new technologies and principles that are essential for success in such a rapidly evolving field. Rooted in ethnographic methodology, the program will provide students with knowledge and methodologies to help specific organizations or institutions work towards building diverse and inclusive communities. This work requires deep knowledge of cultures, history, ideas, social structures, institutions, and politics, the breadth of what Humanities and Social Sciences has to offer.
