The Bachelor of Arts degree is designed for careers in environmental consulting, management, science writing, or science education. While also rigorous, the BA is a more flexible pathway with enough free electives to permit a second major in areas such as Education, Communications, Environmental & Sustainability Studies, or Geology.

BA students integrate the foundations of biology, chemistry, physics and other core STEM disciplines with their understanding of environmental issues. Environmental scientists are on the front line of documenting environment change and developing solutions to modern problems that impact everyone on Earth.

The International Studies program at Rowan is designed to prepare students to live and develop their careers in an increasingly interdependent world. The B.S. degree in Chemistry prepares students for graduate study and for careers in industry, government or medicine. The program provides training in all five areas of chemistry following the recommendations of the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society. After completion of the basic courses there are numerous choices for advanced electives and the degree is capped off with a research experience. Students learn and work in laboratories equipped with modern instrumentation for hands-on use by students at all levels.

Health Promotion is a process of supporting, training and encouraging others in the pursuit of well-being in all dimensions of a person's life, including Social, Physical, Emotional, Occupational, Intellectual, Environmental and Spiritual. Personal health behavior is significant, as individuals are encouraged to adopt and maintain positive lifestyles through a variety of awareness, educational and motivational strategies. The program incorporates the Dimensions of Wellness philosophy as endorsed by the National Wellness Institute.

Students are prepared to facilitate wellness programs that address the overall well-being of individuals and groups. This program also emphasizes the management of health promotion and wellness interventions, preparing students with the administrative and business skills they need to successfully implement HPWM programs.

The Rowan Health Promotion and Wellness Management (HPWM) program is nationally accredited by the National Wellness Institute. It was one of the first programs awarded the Distinguished Undergraduate Program Award  by the National Wellness Institute.

Our program provides a rigorous liberal arts education that can carry you into a career in law, government, non-profit organizations, and graduate education. Political science includes a wide array of fields of study and methodological approaches in the study of politics and government of all countries and regions of the world.

Rowan University's B.A. in Sports Communication and Media (Sports CaM) is an interdisciplinary program in the College of Communication and Creative Arts designed for students interested in the coverage, promotion, broadcasting, language, and cultural impact of contemporary sport. All majors complete Sports CaM's core courses and then choose a concentration in either communication studies, esports, journalism, public relations and advertising, or radio/TV/film production. The degree culminates with an internship in sports communication and media.

Our Master of Arts in Mathematics provides an opportunity to pursue advanced study in mathematics and develop the skills to help lead you to success in today's technologically-oriented society. Our Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering provides interdisciplinary coursework designed to increase the understanding and application of engineering principles. All of our program faculty possess expertise in transportation, geo-technology, structures, water resources, and the environment. Courses include applied, hands-on education, and build the knowledge and training needed for students to contribute to the engineering field.

Interdisciplinary areas include mechanics and materials, and sustainability. This specialization also includes the following focus areas: Mechanics and Materials; Signals, Systems and Computational Intelligence; Sustainability; and Transportation Engineering.
