Explore business performance through four types of analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive and learn how to effectively improve business performance through this analysis. Environmental and Sustainability Studies – let’s abbreviate it ESS – explores humanity's relationship with the natural world in order to help solve environmental problems. Environmental problems are a priority: in your town, across the state of New Jersey, throughout the US, and around the world. Without a strong and resilient environment, humans live shorter lives, have less productive economies, and miss out on the majesty of nature.

While science, technology, and engineering work has led to amazing tools for ‘fixing’ many of the environmental problems we currently face, the fact remains that these solutions are not always put into place. In other words, we already know how to solve many of the technical aspects of environmental problems we face; it is the human part that remains most challenging. You should study ESS if you want to understand the human context of environmental problems, and want to help implement meaningful, lasting solutions.

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Wellness (formerly Community Health) prepares graduates for a wide range of careers in public health, community health, wellness and health promotion.  The curriculum includes courses in the areas of health program planning, implementation and evaluation;  wellness coaching, stress management  and behavior change; and nutrition and exercise science.  Relevant current issues related to social justice, global and environmental sustainability and addressing worldwide pandemic threats are also explored.

Studying writing arts increases understanding of the multiple facets of written communication. Through a variety of courses and learning experiences in creative, academic, new media, and applied writing, students learn to become flexible, adaptable writers, ready to bring advanced writing, reading, and critical thinking skills to the workplace.

Our Master of Arts in History is tailored toward increasing competence in historical studies for preparatory or supplementary teaching, on both the high school or community college level. Our Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares you for a career in the highly interdisciplinary field of pharmaceutical sciences. The field of pharmaceutical science involves the integration of concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology for the design, and synthesis of drugs as well as for understanding the mechanism of drug action. As a practitioner in this field, you may work on the discovery and development of novel drugs, creating efficient use of existing drugs, and lowering the cost of therapy employing less expensive protocols for manufacturing drugs.

Learn how to make knowledgeable decisions and lead others in ethical decision-making, taking discussion-focused courses that emphasize discovering solutions for local and global ethical, scientific, and religious conflicts.

Explore different parts of the world while investigating relevant issues related to gender, media, and global peace. Philosophy majors examine science, technology, art, literature, environmental ethics, existentialism, and philosophy and race.

The Area Studies major invites students to learn about one region of the world from multiple disciplinary perspectives and to gain deep knowledge of that region, skill in a world language, and cultural competence.  All Area Studies majors select one of the following regional concentrations:  Asian Studies, European Studies, or Latin American Studies.  Their coursework focuses on the culture, politics, economics, literature, language(s), and history of their chosen region.  Students also consider their area of concentration—Asia, Europe, or Latin America—within a global frame.  The Area Studies major should appeal to students who want to pursue careers in business, education, advocacy, counseling or social work, law enforcement, government, media and the arts, translation or interpretation, and other sectors.
