Our Master of Arts in Mathematics provides an opportunity to pursue advanced study in mathematics and develop the skills to help lead you to success in today's technologically-oriented society. Whether the goal involves applying mathematics to solve problems in business and industry, teaching in higher education, preparing for further graduate study in mathematics or related fields, or working in a rapidly the growing field of big data analysis as a statistician, this program enables each student to pursue a course of study that is appropriate for their interests.
To address these varying interests, we offer three concentrations: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):

Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television and Film
The RTF Department offers students courses in radio, television and film production, as well as courses in the history, business, and aesthetics of the media. Students can select one of two tracks within the program: The Traditional Production Emphasis, which is based in the department's, state-of-the-art digital production facilities, and a new Critical Studies Track. This track prepares the student for media studies in graduate school and/or careers in education and literary criticism. Students who complete both of these programs posses a broad-based liberal arts background and a strong preparation for either the media production industry or advanced media studies.

The Master of Science in Bioinformatics (M.S.) prepares our graduates with the skills to immediately contribute in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and biomedical fields. Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary field of study that focuses on the use of computational information tools in the investigation and analysis of biological, biomedical, and biochemical systems. The industry uses information generated in the lab or clinic for future applications, research, and development.
Our program provides hands-on experience, giving you the opportunity to work on novel research. This includes advanced training in theory and laboratory settings, which allows you to diversify into other biomedical research fields. This program includes the following three focus areas: Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, and Computer Science.

The Bachelor of Science in Community and Environmental Planning is a professional degree program that prepares students for positions in local, state, and federal agencies, private companies, planning departments, engineering firms, as well as graduate school programs in planning.
