Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is a relevant and timely major especially with the current and impending threat of universal terrorism, the impact of climate change and natural disasters, and the enhanced need to address issues related to public safety and national security. Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is an innovative and interdisciplinary degree program that focuses on training students in areas that impact human welfare locally, nationally, and globally. The program has a distinctive emphasis on urban issues and environments and the role that ethics plays in how policies, politics, and practices shape the quality of life for human beings in our state, nation, and world.

Our M.S. in Data Science prepares graduates with a degree in a STEM-related field for a career in data science. The program provides a strong background in data mining, modeling, and statistical and machine learning. In our curriculm, we build on industry needs, as well as guidelines of the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) and the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Our Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares you for a career in the highly interdisciplinary field of pharmaceutical sciences. The field of pharmaceutical science involves the integration of concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology for the design, and synthesis of drugs as well as for understanding the mechanism of drug action. As a practitioner in this field, you may work on the discovery and development of novel drugs, creating efficient use of existing drugs, and lowering the cost of therapy employing less expensive protocols for manufacturing drugs.

Our Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering prepares professionals to respond to the changing needs of engineers today. This program provides you with the necessary knowledge, skill set, and training to effectively contribute to the engineering workforce. The B.S. Degree in Biochemistry, an interdisciplinary program, is designed to prepare students for a career in biochemistry or graduate studies. The program combines the value of a liberal education with appropriate classroom and laboratory training in chemistry, biology, math and physics. The focus is on a molecular approach to studying living systems. The biochemistry major can choose to specialize in related areas of chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics or structural biology, pre-med, allied health sciences or biomedical sciences by a careful selection of elective courses. The emphasis in all courses is on the acquisition of a solid knowledge base combined with hands-on laboratory work using modern equipment. Each student is expected to carry out a laboratory-based research project.

The mission of the finance program is to provide students with challenging career-oriented undergraduate and graduate preparation needed to be successful in finance careers and to pursue graduate studies.

Finance career opportunities may be sought in such areas as financial analysis, cash management, credit analysis, pension and investment fund management, capital budgeting analysis, investment and commercial banking, and securities management.

These projects provide students with practical experience as performers, directors, designers and technicians, and enhances skills learned in the classroom.

Become a well-rounded theater performer, not just a voice in a chorus. Meet with a private vocal instructor every semester for intensive singing lessons to best prepare you for auditions.

Unlike traditional programs, you will develop skills in all aspects of performance and overlap with Dance, Acting, and Design/Tech majors. Learn about acting, script analysis, movement, dance, improvisation, literature and musical theater history.
