Radiology technologists are involved in direct patient care. Radiographers position imaging equipment and adjust controls to produce diagnostic quality images and assist radiologists in performing specialized imaging procedures. Radiographers work in a variety of settings including hospitals, diagnostic centers, doctor's offices, clinics, and orthopedic practices. Certified radiology technologists may go on to be trained in other advanced imaging techniques, including Computed Axial Tomography (CAT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), mammography, and interventional radiography. Advanced career options in education, administration and research are also possible.

The BA in Education and Youth Studies prepares undergraduates to support the learning and socio-emotional needs of school-age youth (five through sixteen) and their families in roles that do not require teacher licensure, such as teaching assistant, coordinator of tutoring, and student support specialist. This field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to employment credentials that are recognized by schools and non-profit community organizations, and is excellent preparation for careers in counseling, human services and non-profit public administration.

The BA in Elementary Education (ELED) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children from 1st through 6th grades. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It provides opportunities to earn a combination of Illinois teaching credentials.

The MA in Middle School Education prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children in middle school classrooms. This intensive, field-based program prepares candidates to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to Illinois teaching credentials in the areas of English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

The human resource management major at Roosevelt is unique given our small class sizes, student-focused faculty and real-world curriculum that prepare you for the demands of today's fast-changing HR landscape. Our faculty teach both theory and the real-world skills necessary to be a successful HR professional. You will get hands-on education that uses real-world cases, project, and experiential exercises to simulate precisely the types of activities you will do as a future HR professional, so that when you graduate you are prepared for the demands of the profession.

This computer science program follows an enhanced traditional curriculum, with its emphasis on data, data theory and computing systems theory. It prepares students to pursue careers in highly advanced areas such as data systems, systems programming and software engineering, or to go on to pursue graduate degrees in computer science.

The Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership (ILED) prepares licensed teachers to become effective and democratic instructional leaders in diverse school environments. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to add either the principal or teacher leader endorsement to their Illinois teaching licenses.

In addition to history, you’ll learn critical reading, writing and thinking skills that prepare you for any position requiring research, writing and analysis. You will learn to examine historical forces, people and events from multiple perspectives and with global awareness, all while honing your communication skills.

The BA in Special Education (SPED) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children and adolescents with learning and intellectual disabilities, severe emotional and behavior disorders, and other disabilities. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. It leads to the Illinois LBS1 teaching credential.
