Roosevelt's program is the only bachelor's level histotechnology training program in the state of Illinois. The affiliation with Northwestern Memorial Hospital is exclusive and only current RU students are eligible to apply for the clinical training portion of the program.

The BSBA in Real Estate provides students with 18 semester hours of core content and three semester hours of electives tailored to deliver comprehensive knowledge of the real estate industry and urban land economics.

Students will use industry-standard computer programs and databases to solve problems related to the built environment. Students will incorporate the concepts of social costs and benefits in analyzing the ongoing process of urban gentrification, and not just the individual financial benefits associated with change in the urban landscape. The Real Estate BSBA program places emphasis on awareness of social justice and engagement in civic life, which are pillars of Roosevelt’s mission.

Roosevelt University is proud to offer one of the only social justice studies majors in the country. This interdisciplinary major, housed in the Department of Economics, provides practical and theoretical tools from the fields of economics, history, political science, and sociology to examine theories of and movements for social justice, particularly economic justice. Recent graduates work in government, non-for-profit organizations, and the private sector. Others have gone on to graduate school. Extensive training in writing, research and critical thinking prepare students well for any post-graduate path they choose to take.

The BA in Early Childhood Education (ECHD) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children from birth to third grade. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to a combination of Illinois teaching credentials.

The BA in Music and Computing is an interdisciplinary degree that provides students with the specific tools and methods to study both music composition and computer programming. The goal of this program is for students to create and explore music software, music authoring systems, algorithmic composition, video game music and similar projects.

This is a joint degree where students take approximately equal credit hours from each discipline (Music Composition and Computer Science), in addition to general studies.

The MA in Middle School Education prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children in middle school classrooms. This intensive, field-based program prepares candidates to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to Illinois teaching credentials in the areas of English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

The BA in Education and Youth Studies prepares undergraduates to support the learning and socio-emotional needs of school-age youth (five through sixteen) and their families in roles that do not require teacher licensure, such as teaching assistant, coordinator of tutoring, and student support specialist. This field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to employment credentials that are recognized by schools and non-profit community organizations, and is excellent preparation for careers in counseling, human services and non-profit public administration.

This computer science program follows an enhanced traditional curriculum, with its emphasis on data, data theory and computing systems theory. It prepares students to pursue careers in highly advanced areas such as data systems, systems programming and software engineering, or to go on to pursue graduate degrees in computer science.
