The Plant Science Track is designed to give students a diverse understanding of the plant world and their impact on human lives and environment. Plant Kingdom, Plant Anatomy, Plant Physiology and Plant Taxonomy courses will position students to find jobs in biotechnology labs, state parks and as field technicians as well as teaching in high schools or obtaining internships in other botanical institutions. Culinary Botany focuses on health and nutrition derived from plants and Medical Botany prepares students towards a career in naturopathy, allopathy and Pharmacy programs.

The B.A in French and Francophone Studies focuses on the study of languages, cultures and literatures in France and in the numerous countries where French is spoken, as the official or second language. It consists of 36 credit hours at the 3000 and 4000 level.

Placement in Modern Language courses is based on one year of high school language being equivalent to one semester of college work. For example, four years of high school French may place the student in the first semester of the third year. Native speakers, or students who have received advanced education in French-speaking societies, may not take lower division French courses. They can, with their advisor's consent, substitute other upper division level courses for FRE 3780 , FRE 3420, FRE 4422, FRE 3760, and FRE 4421.

The B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Education program at UCF prepares you to impact a diverse population of young children and families using research-based, developmentally appropriate practices. As a computer engineering major, you’ll explore ways to improve the underlying digital hardware, computing networks, and production software systems that impact our everyday lives. Your work will help advance our society, covering areas such as computer systems design, mobile and embedded computing devices, sensor networks, reconfigurable logic, software engineering and machine intelligence applications.

Computer engineering coursework focuses on the tradeoff of execution throughput compared to hardware/software/energy costs of all types of computers from portable embedded devices and miniature sensor nodes, up through supercomputers. You’ll learn from renowned faculty that have been engaged in cutting-edge research and have an opportunity to pursue undergraduate research in your area of interest with these faculty. Additionally, courses provide hands-on learning where you can apply what you’ve learned to real-world situations.

Digital VLSI Circuits Track
Choose from a wide range of technical elective courses such as embedded systems and hardware-software co-design, microarchitecture and memory design for performance, VLSI testing and fault tolerant computing, design of ultra-low power circuits and systems and the mechanisms for computing systems, and data acquisition. You’ll graduate with more depth of knowledge in the area of VLSI systems and digital circuit design. After graduation, pursue a graduate degree or find employment in companies such as Lockheed-Martin, Intel, TI, Apple, as well as many other regional, national or international companies. Also, opportunities exist for employment in state and federal government agencies.

Within the rapid advance in nanoscience, with continuous breakthroughs leading to exciting applications in current and new emerging technologies, and the high degree of industrial innovation in Central Florida, UCF has an important role to play in the education of knowledge workers for an industry that is becoming more and more sophisticated. While UCF provides several opportunities for the graduate population to pursue training in nanoscience.

The overall goal is for the students to acquire a working knowledge of nanoscience principles and industrial applications, and to understand the societal and technology issues that may impede the adoption of nanotechnology. In addition, students are expected to develop the ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and identify paths and requisite knowledge and skills for nanotechnology careers.

his 2+2 degree program is offered by UCF on the Daytona Beach Campus. The B.S. in Photography degree prepares students for professional practice with strong technical, creative and critical skills.Photography is also available as an area of specialization on the Orlando campus through the School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) as part of the Art, Studio Track (B.A.) and Studio Art (B.F.A.) programs.

As part of the program, some courses study the form and proportion of the human figure. Nude models are used as reference.

Restaurant & Foodservice Management (BS) may be completed fully online, although not all elective options or program prerequisites may be offered online. The Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida is located in the heart of the theme park capital of the world – Orlando, Florida.  Orlando is home to eight major theme parks and four themed water parks.  In addition, there are dozens of smaller attractions that feature a variety of unique themes.  Rosen College has capitalized on this location to develop the world’s only program dedicated to theme park and attraction management.  As part of our Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management, students are able to take a series of courses in a specialized track of study for those interested in careers in the theme park and attractions industry.
