The UCF Department of Statistics & Data Science acquaints students with in the methods of collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation and organization of data and the use of complex data in many different applications. The department offers two undergraduate degrees, one in statistics and one in actuarial science; an M.S. degree with two tracks in data mining and statistical computing; and SAS certificate program and a Ph.D. degree in big data analytics.

Restaurant & Foodservice Management (BS) may be completed fully online, although not all elective options or program prerequisites may be offered online. The School of Public Administration provides the highest quality undergraduate education for students interested in working in the nonprofit sector. The school strives to achieve local, state and national prominence through contemporary curriculum, innovative instruction, scholarly and applied research, and community service. Programs and services develop and enhance management skills essential to public and nonprofit organizations. The school offers an undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nonprofit Management. The program provides opportunities for students to prepare for employment as nonprofit professionals and produces graduates with the management skills and analytical techniques needed for successful careers in nonprofit and related business fields.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts track in Musical Theatre is offered for students who, upon graduation, plan to pursue a specialized performance career on the musical theatre stage. It provides the student with a thorough foundation in theatre complemented by very structured and intensive career preparation in all areas of musical theatre. The Musical Theatre B.F.A. program offers a sequence of courses in acting, movement, voice, dance, music theory, and piano. Classwork is augmented with practical production experiences. Drawing upon a variety of acting, dance, and voice methodologies, the professional musical theatre performance program offers an organic approach to musical theatre performance training. The first two years focus on the fundamentals of music theory, piano, acting, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre voice, with an emphasis on the development of artist's instrument. During the junior and senior years, emphasis is placed on studio training, musical theatre scene study, and musical theatre repertoire. The program culminates with a professional internship where students are able to apply their education in a real world work environment. While most students choose to enter the work force following graduation, the BFA is an excellent degree for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in theatre. Work within the BFA program requires energy and dedication; therefore, other part-time study or outside employment is very challenging. BFA standards are high, both for admission and for continuation in the program.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Senior Living Management is an interdisciplinary program that merges hospitality, gerontology and healthcare services. It will provide undergraduate students with the appropriate competitive skillset to acquire a managerial position in various types of senior living facilities, especially independent living, assisted living and continuous care retirement communities. It will provide a career path for students seeking employment in the senior living industry as business practitioners as opposed to that of direct care giver. The aim of this educational program is for UCF graduates to become the future managers and leaders of the senior living industry.

In the secondary education program at UCF, learn about developing pedagogy and content knowledge to meet the needs of students in middle and high school classrooms. You’ll explore a variety of current technologies used for teaching and learning, like practicing your skills with TeachLivE avatars. Plus, there are a number of different professional development opportunities and organizations to get involved in while you’re here. For instance, KnightED Talks workshops are free, hour-long events that cover a range of topics related to the teaching profession and are conducted by university faculty and K-12 educators. There’s also an annual KnightEd Talks Student Showcase where you can share your best work with peers during a 30-minute session in an in-house conference venue.

The B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Education program at UCF prepares you to impact a diverse population of young children and families using research-based, developmentally appropriate practices.
