Our students develop professional skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to provide effective and compassionate therapy for individuals of all ages. Graduates are prepared to assess client needs and design and facilitate individualized therapeutic music experiences in composing, listening, improvising and performing. An integral part of the curriculum is supervised clinical service to individuals and groups in a variety of community settings, including skilled nursing care, early intervention programs, substance use rehabilitation and special needs classrooms.

Our students study Chaucer and Shakespeare, Jane Austen and Toni Morrison, Claudia Rankine and Kendrick Lamar. Our students look to the deep meanings that great writing reveals about human life, human community and our shared, common home. Our students love to read and become master readers – they leverage that mastery in their professional lives.

Graphic design is an intensive professional degree major that combines art and design foundation courses with the graphic design curriculum and an arts and sciences education.

This program teaches and instills leadership traits and qualities, so that you may one day lead an organization. Students gain unique skills and experiences related to the military, such as map reading, land navigation, marksmanship, rappelling and much more. As a computer engineering major, you'll design and upgrade advanced digital and computer-based systems by balancing and integrating the use of hardware components and software: a computer's central processor unit, memory devices, input/output devices and computer networks, operating systems, compilers, and general-purpose programming for specific applications.

You'll enjoy an extensive laboratory experience integrated with coursework that ensures a working knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Upper-level courses combine academics with current technology and computational tools, which enables you to become the complete professional ready to contribute to the engineering profession after graduation by either entering the workforce or pursuing a graduate education.

The LLM program focuses on the American legal system and laws that transcend national boundaries. This program is available for international students who already have a first degree in law from a foreign university upon the completion of 30 credits of course work.

As a UD Nursing major, you'll prepare to be a knowledgeable, adaptable and reflective healthcare practitioner. The program is a unique partnership with Sinclair Community College’s Associate Degree in Nursing program — top in Ohio for success of its graduates on the NCLEX nursing exam. This partnership allows students to become a registered nurse (RN) after their third year, and if they desire, work while finishing the BSN program at UD.

The curriculum incorporates both liberal arts and science courses, which help students develop clinical reasoning and intuition. You'll apply evidence-based practices to impact change in health practices both locally and globally. The program integrates Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Core Competencies, the Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice (The BSN Essentials), and the UD Marianist educational philosophy of educating the whole person.

Our major combines a biomedical science-focused curriculum, a local or international medical experience, and a self-designed plan of study to include a minor or other courses of interest that prepare our graduates for entry into professional schools.

People have been exploring ideas and expressing their thoughts and feelings by producing art throughout history. By studying art history, you will learn how art embodies and controls cultural, economic, gender, political, religious and social dynamics.

Recent graduates are employed as scientists in academia, industry and government, or pursuing postgraduate education. In addition to our rigourous academic program, students can work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as discovering novel inhibitors of bacterial efflux pumps as a way to combat multi-drug resistance in bacteria, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings, and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments.
