What will you learn?
You’ll receive instruction in principles, finance, appraisal, law, land use controls, and investment analysis. You’ll learn about brokerage, lending, corporate positions, and government agencies. On graduation, you will be prepared for examinations for state real estate broker and salesperson licenses.

Sociology is the systematic study of human social life. The B.A. in sociology provides students with the basic tools of sociological analysis including social research methods (both quantitative and qualitative) and theory. The curriculum in sociology equips students to more effectively negotiate the diverse society in which we live by addressing social inequalities, culture, community development, social institutions, and social change.

The B.A. in theatre arts is a comprehensive, flexible degree that allows students to study various aspects of theatre such as performance ( acting, musical theatre, dance), theatrical production (stage management, directing), design (scenic, costumes, lighting, sound), film production, dramaturgy, theatre history, and dramatic literature. The B.A. degree is designed for students who want to teach, to pursue graduate education, to work in the entertainment industry, or to complement a double major or dual degree program.

The M.S. in exercise science prepares students for careers in fitness and allied health and research. The degree also prepares students for advanced study at the doctoral (Ph.D.) level.

The Master of Music is an advanced professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization. The university offers the M.M. with the following emphases:

• Performance in woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instruments, piano, and voice;
• Music education;
• Choral conducting;
• Musicology;
• Music theory;
• Ethnomusicology;
• Collaborative piano.

Emphasis - Music Performance
The M.M. degree with an emphasis in performance is designed to prepare a student to become a professional musician (performing as a pianist, woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrumentalist, or vocalist) and/or prepares him/her for further graduate study or professional training. The performance emphasis can be completed with a concentration (option) in either piano, vocal, or instrumental.

A degree in Management Information Systems at Ole Miss combines traditional business courses such as Marketing, Management, and Finance with the skills to design and implement key information technology systems.

The B.A. in psychology prepares students for careers in which a fuller understanding of human behavior is needed or to enter graduate programs in psychology and professional schools such as law and medicine. Students learn the scientific approach to the study of human and animal behavior, and can take courses in a variety of subfields, such as social, cognitive, personality, abnormal, developmental, and behavioral neuroscience. Students also learn the research process: experimental design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

The B.A. degree in physics is suggested for students wishing to teach physics in high school or to enter graduate or professional schools, such as medical school or law school. The department also offers a special B.A. curriculum for pre-medical students, which includes physics courses that are especially useful for medical students. It is recommended that students interested in teaching high school physics obtain a B.A. physics degree and a secondary education certification.

The B.S. in biological science prepares a student for a variety of careers or for graduate work in many fields, including organismal biology, medicine, education, cell or molecular biology, ecology and conservation biology. This is the degree of choice for those aspiring to be professional scientists.
