The objective of the M.Tax. is to provide students with a greater breadth and depth in accounting education and a specialization in the tax area. The purpose of this program is to provide education to allow entry into a professional tax career upon graduation and prepare for continuing growth and development.

The study of classics includes every aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world, with exploration of ancient languages, literatures, history, art, and archaeology.

Classics majors gain a complex view of the ancient Mediterranean world and explore their own world as they do so. They address questions of human and historical significance through the works of the Greeks and Romans; understand the modern cultural world by recognizing its roots in the past; know their own language better by learning Greek or Latin; explore the world through study abroad; and strengthen their ability to read, communicate, observe, and think analytically.

The B.A. in classics is an interdisciplinary degree involving the study of ancient Greek and Latin, literature in translation, history, classical archaeology, and art history.

Learn to identify opportunities, become innovative problem solvers, create and develop programs to support customer service, and build new projects inside or outside the traditional corporate setting within the Ole Miss entrepreneurship program.

The M.S. in engineering science is offered in a number of emphasis areas: aeroacoustics, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computational hydroscience, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electromagnetics, environmental engineering, geology, geological engineering, hydrology, mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, and telecommunications.

Emphasis - Geological Engineering
A M.S. in engineering science with emphasis in geological engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work.

The Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program at the University of Mississippi fosters the knowledge and skills needed in today's health care environment. Our graduates are leaders in biomedical research companies, hospitals, government agencies, universities, Fortune 500 companies and every imaginable practice setting.

There are three degrees in economics at the University of Mississippi: the Bachelor of Business Administration in economics, the Bachelor of Arts in economics, and the more technical Bachelor of Science in economics. The B.A. degree is the most flexible program that provides broad social science training. Students take introductory and advanced micro and macro economics, statistics, and then pursue their own interests with economics electives.

Economics provides a broad and systematic way of thinking about social, financial, and business problems. The B.A. in economics prepares a graduate for many positions in business and government. Some positions are economic analyst, statistician, and research assistant.

The Master of Accountancy & Data Analytics program offers specialization in data analytics paired with broad graduate-level accounting education. In this program, students are prepared for careers in the data age as they gain hands-on experience in data analytics and cutting-edge technologies. The program requires five accountancy and taxation courses, three data analytics courses, and two accountancy electives.

The Master of Music is an advanced professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization. The university offers the M.M. with the following emphases: 1) performance in woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instruments, piano, and voice; 2) music education; 3) choral conducting; 4) musicology; 5) music theory; 6) ethnomusicology; and 7) collaborative piano.

The B.A. allows greater compatibility with other areas of study, while still providing specialized training in the applied concentrations of instrumental, keyboard, or voice.

A M.S. in engineering science with emphasis in environmental engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work. Students can concentrate in any of the following specialty areas: water resources, watershed systems, hydrology, surface water quality, stormwater, wastewater, solid waste, air pollution, groundwater modeling and remediation, and remote sensing and geospatial technologies. Students entering the program come from a variety of engineering and nonengineering disciplines, such as geology, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
