Students will learn the fundamental information technologies, systems, data management methods, and computational thinking strategies necessary to support organizational decision-making and recommend effective system design and maintenance solutions. Sociology is the scientific study of social life and the causes and consequences of human behavior, social groups, and societies. The term social life encompasses all interpersonal relationships, all groups, all types of social organizations, and all human culture; past and present. We want our majors to experience Sociology. Our emphasis is on professional practices as well as scholarship, with a career orientation and experiential learning approach. We provide first-person experiences in analyzing and dealing with processes, problems and institutions of society. In a world of globalization and cultural diversity, Sociology is of increased practical importance in many career paths. Partnering with community organizations, the Sociology major emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning.

Graduates of our program seek employment in social services and counseling, management and administrative support, teaching, research, sales, marketing, public relations, criminal justice positions, and many other fields. The Electrical Engineering Program prepares students to perform professionally in the design, development, and integration of electronic equipment and systems in a wide range of industries; including telecommunications and networking, electrical machinery and power generation and distribution, automation and control systems, aerospace and robotics. The program includes a design sequence within which students use our well-equipped labs to work in teams applying theories learned in the classrooms to transform concepts into functional designs that they will build and operate. The Electrical Engineering program provides engineering students at CETA the opportunity to choose the Telecommunication Concentration, along with other concentration choices of Robotics, and Unmanned Aerial Systems.
