 American Politics
Learn about American political institutions including the presidency, Congress, courts, state and local government, and political parties; as well as political processes like elections, public opinion, urban politics, minority politics, political behavior, and public policy formation. With a location in the state capital, you will have unique opportunities to study ongoing research projects at the intersection of politics and public policy.

The interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Management at UAlbany will give you a broad understanding of the relationships between government legislation, public policy, economics, politics, civil rights, regulation and finance, and city, state, federal, and global affairs.

Environmental Policy

In your first year, you learn fundamental concepts in finance, accounting, marketing, operations, human resource management, organizational behavior, and information technology. You will also travel abroad and participate in an international consulting project.

Marketing
UAlbany’s marketing concentration prepares you for a leadership career in marketing, sales, communications, public relations, entrepreneurship, or consulting. You will learn about current trends, business tools, and cutting-edge research in the theory and practice of marketing management, services marketing, and applied data analysis. Courses involve a mix of discussions, presentations, and project work, so that you develop a well-rounded skillset, which can be applied in real-world working environments.

Curate your expertise on the cultures and histories of Africans and African Americans with a Master of Arts in Africana Studies. UAlbany was the first university to offer an Africana Studies graduate degree and remains one of the few institutions in the nation with an MA program in the field.
