The Mathematics major involves a variety of mathematical areas, both traditional and contemporary. Math involves learning the terms, methods and formulae and applying the mathematics to solve theoretical and practical problems. Graduates of the program are highly marketable in a range of fields because the program helps them develop problem-solving skills and trains them to think, and argue, logically.  Available courses include:

Mathematics is in the Bachelor of Science degree program as well as in the Bachelor of Arts degree program. The BS in Mathematics curriculum provides the student with a basic background in mathematics.  It allows a student to place some emphasis on an area of mathematics that is related to engineering, the biological, physical, or social sciences. The BA in Mathematics curriculum provides the student with a basic background in mathematics in the context of a liberal arts education.

The Latin American Studies program is a combination of study and research on Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking countries including Central America, South America and Europe. Students will understand the political, cultural and historical issues of the Latin American culture. Available courses include:

The Latin American Studies program promotes and encourages academic works in Latin America. It also encourages travel and exchange with institutions of higher learning in Latin America and Spain. Baylor currently offers study abroad programs to several countries in Latin America: Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Argentina.

The Supply Chain Management major (designated as a pre-major) prepares students to manage activities involved in the creation of goods and services. Students develop the ability to apply problem-solving tools related to productivity improvement, quality control, production scheduling, and materials management.  They are also able to present an integrated top-management view of the entire operations function. Courses help students prepare for professional certifications in Supply Management (CPSM) and Project Management (PMP).  Available courses include:

There is a wide choice of career options for graduates.The Supply Chain Management major will open the door to numerous career opportunities in procurement, materials management, purchasing, vendor management, customer relationship management, integrated supply liaison, quality assurance, project management, traffic management, logistics, systems analysis, scheduling, consulting and training.

The Middle Grades Education Program is ideal for students who are eager to work with growing minds and daily changes. When teaching middle grades students, who are discovering who they are and what they want to do with their lives, there is rarely a dull moment in the classroom. The program prepares highly qualified teachers that will earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with a specific subject in 4-8 certification. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

The Theory major in the School of Music is for students who wish to concentrate their study on the theory of music. Students will conduct research under mentors, faculty members who are active in academic discourse on the national and international level.  Areas of study include:

The Philosophy major provides a solid foundation in the history of philosophy.  It also provides an in-depth study of specific subject areas including logic, ethics, aesthetics, epistemology, and metaphysics. This dual emphasis cultivates students' capacity for critical analysis, stimulates independent thinking and promotes sound reasoning based on knowledge, moral discrimination and religious insight. Environmental Health Science
Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. This includes preventing illness by identifying and assessing hazardous agents, environmental sources and limiting exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments that may impact human health. Environmental health professionals work to ensure safe water, food, air quality and workplace conditions, mitigate the impact of disasters and investigate and help control disease outbreaks. German
The German major enables students to become fluent in written and spoken German. German is spoken throughout all Europe. Knowing German can enhance your career opportunities, especially in the areas of international business, foreign service, international transportation, communication and finance. Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Electrical and Computer Engineering major (designated as a pre-major) is a nationally-recognized program designed for students interested in math and science and the advancement of technology. The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) has accredited the Baylor program, which gives ECE students the opportunity to analyze, design and build a variety of devices enabling an understanding of the principles behind modern technologies and prepare them to play a role in shaping the future. Electrical and Computer Engineering is the largest engineering profession in the workforce today.
