In DePaul’s Master of Science (MS) in Economics and Policy Analysis, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge of economic theory and advanced skills in data analysis that position you to examine economic and business policies. The research-driven curriculum prepares you to be a hands-on economic analyst.

Interested students participate in 12- to 16-week fellowships at private companies, a government agency, public policy institute, or nonprofit in Chicago, Washington D.C., or another city.

The Secondary Education program prepares you to teach 9th through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private high schools. You can graduate with a State of Illinois license to teach designated subject-area content (listed below). The program also provides you an opportunity to receive a Diploma Year Program Award (IB certification) to teach in International Baccalaureate schools world-wide.

As part of the secondary education major, you’ll learn educational theories and effective teaching practices, including how to design and implement curriculum; participate in extensive field experiences at multiple schools, and student-teach for 10 weeks.

The Master of Science in Game Programming is designed for those interested in game development programming at the highest level, including real time computing, computer graphics, and professional retooling for the game industry. Students will learn about software engineering, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, animation, software architecture, and networking. The game programming degree addresses the real-world needs of industry through special, topic-based classes. Courses are taught with a mixture of theory and applied practice. Covering both emerging trends and proven knowledge, the program's content is always relevant and current. This combination of approaches allows students to understand the connection between realized applied systems and issues they'll likely face professionally in years to come.

DePaul’s master’s in Public Policy (MPP) gives you the skills, experience and analytical tools to help shape governmental policies that influence our local, regional and national agendas. You’ll also learn how to advance policies that are beneficial to urban communities and to advocate for those who are marginalized or at risk.

DePaul’s MS in General Psychology will prepare you for further doctoral training or for a range of psychology-related careers, such as statistical consulting and teaching. The master's in Health Informatics provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to implement and support information technology solutions for health sector organizations. Graduates will obtain technical knowledge and management skills for the design and support of IT systems and will develop a deep understanding of health IT processes to support health care delivery and management. Graduates will also gain knowledge in the areas of health information management including health information processing and exchange, health care analytics, enterprise management and information storage and security management.

The MA in Animation degree provides a combination of artistic and technical training that prepares students for a future in 3D character animation, traditional animation, computer game art, or visual effects.

Traditional Animation
The Traditional Animator Concentration is for students who are interested in deepening their knowledge of traditional animation, including hand-drawn, stop motion, and hybrid methods, with an eye towards a production career in animation. Students in this concentration will train in the history, critical artistic issues, and fundamental principles that are necessary for animation artists. MA in Animation graduates will be prepared for many varied career options available to animators, including storyboard artists, visual development artists, layout artists, character animators, and commercial animators.

Our sociology degree program will help you develop the critical thinking skills needed to effectively observe sociological topics and become equipped to conduct sociological research.
