The MS in Cybersecurity is intended for students who wish to specialize in the security aspects of the Information Technology field. This program educates professionals for the fast growing and wide ranging information security and cybersecurity markets by providing foundations in the theory of information security as well as knowledge needed to properly design, implement, and manage secured IT infrastructure and risks in an enterprise. Common career areas include Computer Forensics, Incident Response, Network Security Administration, Risk Assessment, and Web Development.

Networking and Infrastructure
The Network Security concentration focuses on the network infrastructure and network security management aspects of information security. This concentration will provide in-depth coverage of network security infrastructure technologies such as firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), vulnerability assessment tools, as well as overall security infrastructure engineering and design.

DePaul’s B.S. in Computer Science program provides essential training in the foundations of computing, data storage and information processing.

As a Computer Science major, you’ll develop a keen understanding of modern computer systems and master your programming and software development skills. You will learn about robotics, computer vision, intelligent systems and gaming, data mining and mobile systems.

Deepen your understanding of classic theorems and structures, on your own schedule. DePaul’s master’s in Pure Mathematics is one of the few evening programs of its type offered in the Chicago area. Focus your research in areas such as

The Chinese Studies program focuses on developing your ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and understand Chinese society and culture. Twenty percent of the global population speaks Chinese, making it the most-spoken language in the world. Having the ability to speak and understand Chinese will make you a marketable candidate in a variety of professional fields, such as business, consulting or politics.

As a Chinese Studies major, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in one of DePaul’s Study Abroad programs in Beijing, Hong Kong or Shanghai, where you’ll experience and immerse yourself in Chinese language and culture.

The Theatre School’s Arts Leadership program is a two-year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree that combines full-time employment at Chicago Shakespeare Theater with full-time coursework at DePaul University. Management, leadership, and cultural decision-making coursework through both The Theatre School and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business is applied and synthesized through the fellowship at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. This rigorous and nationally distinct program is designed to prepare highly skilled leaders in the complex and sophisticated world of the arts.

In the Master of Marketing Analysis program, you’ll take a quantitative approach to real-world marketing challenges in preparation for a career in business and marketing analytics, market research, interactive marketing, or other data-driven marketing roles. You’ll develop strong foundational knowledge in

The MS in Community Psychology has been developed in response to interests expressed by community groups and organizations for assistance in addressing the needs of their most vulnerable members. The program prepares students to work at the master’s level in the field of Community Psychology in a variety of community, government and consulting work settings.

Students will learn how a community-based social justice perspective recognizes inequalities and promotes the exercise of greater power (i.e., access to resources and decision-making) for communities that have been marginalized, and creates ties to advocacy work with oppressed populations. The program leads to an applied, terminal MS degree.

Data Science Concentration
The Data Science concentration is designed to provide students with computational techniques used by statistical researchers and practitioners beyond standard statistical software packages. Students are a rigorous training in mathematical statistics, applied statistics, statistical computing, and data structure. They are also exposed to various applications of current interest. The program prepares students to apply the latest statistical methods, data analytics, data mining, and machine learning to real-world data sets.

The master's in Software Engineering provides students with skills that are widely applicable, highly in demand, and richly rewarded. Software engineering is a discipline concerned with the processes, methodologies, techniques, and tools of developing high-quality software systems in a cost-effective manner. The Software Engineering program emphasizes the best software engineering practices, current methodologies, emerging technologies, and their applications in various industries. It also emphasizes the development of communication and presentation skills in a team-based software development environment. This concentration addresses the foundations and methodologies of software development combined with knowledge of business environment and finance to prepare for career paths in entrepreneurship or senior technology leadership positions in businesses.
