In the Management Information Systems (MIS) program, you’ll learn both the business and technological foundations of information systems management. DePaul’s undergraduate MIS degree program will prepare you to pursue a variety of careers requiring both business and technological skills.

As you earn your MIS degree, you will

• Acquire a broad understanding of information technologies and the information systems life cycle as they apply to business processes
• Gain the ability to identify organizational data
• design and manipulate databases
• Integrate technical knowledge with an understanding of business operations

The graduate jazz studies program provides students a comprehensive education in jazz, allowing students to specialize in either performance or composition. Drawing upon the resources of the Chicago jazz scene, faculty members are highly celebrated performers, teachers, composers, and arrangers. In addition to applied jazz lessons, jazz ensembles, and jazz combos, Master of Music students enroll in courses such as jazz theory, history, pedagogy, improvisation, composing, and/or arranging. Throughout the program, jazz students have multiple opportunities to record performances and compositions in professional recording studios.

In the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematical Sciences programs, your mathematics degree coursework will teach you fundamentals of pure and applied mathematics, preparing you for a career in mathematics, natural sciences, computer science, social sciences or business.

As a mathematics degree student, you’ll choose one of the following seven concentrations:

• Actuarial Science
• Applied and Computational Mathematics
• Financial Mathematics
• Pure Mathematics
• Quantitative Analysis and Operations Research
• Statistics

As part of the Grace School of Applied Diplomacy at DePaul, our Master of Applied Diplomacy program unites traditional and non-traditional approaches to the field of diplomacy. Here, we know that the work of diplomacy is not limited to members of the foreign service, but practiced by members of non-governmental organizations, business people, scientists, and community organizers.

Global Public Health
The Diplomacy and Global Public Health concentration provides students with a foundation for applying the tools and understanding of diplomatic practices to mediation, conflict resolution, advocacy and leadership in the field of international public health. Students will have the opportunity to place the study and practice of diplomacy into conversation with the disciplines of behavior theory, health care, forced migration and public policy.

DePaul’s Special Education degree program will prepare you to teach students with exceptionalities from kindergarten to age 21 in a variety of urban and suburban educational settings, including public and private schools.

By completing the bachelor’s in Special Education degree program, you’ll be eligible for the Illinois Learning and Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) license, provided you complete additional state requirements.

You’ll complete two lab-based courses in the Education and Counseling Center in the College of Education, one focused on reading, and one on math. In each course, you’ll work with a struggling learner from the community. You’ll also complete two field-based practicum courses (totaling 70 hours of field experience) with related seminars: one focused on learners with high incidence disabilities in an inclusive setting, and one focused on students with low incidence disabilities in a self-contained setting.

The Master of Music in performance degree prepares students for professional music careers in a supportive, collegial environment.  Graduate students study with highly celebrated performers who are committed to teaching excellence.  The graduate performance program consists of applied lessons, ensembles, core studies in music theory/history and research, and related studies.  The Master of Music degree is a two year program.

As a UX Design major, you will learn how to analyze and evaluate existing computer interfaces as well as how to improve the design and development of interfaces for a better user experience. A major in UX Design will teach you to combine design’s technical methods with artistic principles, preparing you for a career in interactive web development.

The User Experience Design program offers concentrations in design and development. The design concentration emphasizes coursework in interaction design as well as strategies for incorporating social computing into websites and mobile applications. The development concentration emphasizes coursework in information technology and interactive scripting.

DePaul’s in-depth, applied curriculum will enable you to analyze and navigate today’s increasingly sophisticated global financial markets in our Finance MBA program. The World Language Education (WLE) program integrates education and language courses. Your foreign language education degree will prepare you to teach kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private schools.

As part of this program, you will take language courses from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and education courses from the College of Education. You will earn a BA from the College of Education, and concentrations are offered in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
