In the Network Engineering and Security degree program, you will learn the theory and practice of designing, deploying and managing both wired and wireless network technologies.

As a Network Engineering major, you will gain expertise in protocols and services that enable Internet and LAN services, design and management of local and wide area networks and voice and data network convergence through VoIP technologies.

You will obtain hands-on experience by working with network devices and servers in lab facilities focused on enterprise networks, security and multimedia network services.

DePaul’s MS in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies—the first graduate refugee studies program in the U.S.—will give you the right mix of theory and practical experience to prepare you to help immigrants, migrants and refugees around the world. You’ll gain a broad-based understanding of the legal, political and humanitarian resources to address the issues created by these situations. As part of our refugee studies program you’ll take courses in law, history, public health, public service and international studies and gain extensive hands-on training with the agencies and institutions assisting displaced people.

As an Economics major, you’ll learn how to think about behaviors and problems that exist in an economy. You’ll also learn how to analyze economic data to identify and address these problems.

Economics majors develop theoretical, quantitative and analytical skills that complement and enhance what you’ll learn in other business disciplines in the Driehaus College of Business.

DePaul’s Game Programming program will teach you the fundamentals and details of programming, with a focus on the interdisciplinary aspects of game development.

Throughout your game development degree coursework, you’ll collaborate on teams with other programmers, artists, game designers, producers, writers and audio designers. Upon completion of the program, you’ll be prepared to work in computer gaming and programming, as well as interactive media fields.

Our master’s of Occupational Therapy program will prepare you to become an occupational therapist who treats children and adults with various developmental physical, cognitive and psychological conditions. You’ll be trained to work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, clinics and private practice.

With an emphasis of providing care to members of our urban, global environment, this program is rooted in our Catholic, Vincentian mission. Here, Occupational Therapy program students will learn to:

You’ll study current customer industry trends, relationship management and service delivery, as well as marketing and hospitality strategies. This MBA concentration is ideal if you are a hospitality industry professional with a strong desire to enhance your knowledge and business skills or if you want to join the business side of hospitality operations.

Health Care Administration Concentration
The Health Care Administration concentration provides students with the managerial and analytical skills necessary to understand and influence the processes through which hospitals, associated health care organizations, and public and private agencies provide health care opportunities to explore the roles of specific nonprofit and governmental health care providers and regulatory agencies.

DePaul’s Special Education degree program will prepare you to teach students with exceptionalities from kindergarten to age 21 in a variety of urban and suburban educational settings, including public and private schools.

By completing the bachelor’s in Special Education degree program, you’ll be eligible for the Illinois Learning and Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) license, provided you complete additional state requirements.

You’ll complete two lab-based courses in the Education and Counseling Center in the College of Education, one focused on reading, and one on math. In each course, you’ll work with a struggling learner from the community. You’ll also complete two field-based practicum courses (totaling 70 hours of field experience) with related seminars: one focused on learners with high incidence disabilities in an inclusive setting, and one focused on students with low incidence disabilities in a self-contained setting.

Our writing and rhetoric program is dedicated to writing degree students who will study literate activity across time and culture, and produce effective writing in contemporary settings—from the personal to the professional.

Because our lives are increasingly mediated by digital technologies that combine writing, sound and image in interactive spaces, you’ll explore what it means to live and work as a digital writer.

Faculty members who teach in the writing degree program are published specialists in rhetoric, writing studies, English as a second language (ESL), technical and professional writing, and new media studies.

Develop the skills to assess the environmental impacts of organizational decisions in DePaul’s MS in Sustainable Management program. You’ll learn how to develop and implement sustainable strategies for managing human, financial and natural resources in today’s marketplace.
