Our program sets itself apart by being distinctly Christian — with a plethora of research opportunities. We provide flexible emphases for our applied chemistry major, from computer science or mathematics to business, green chemistry, environmental chemistry and forensic science.

Business Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Gain expertise in accounting, economics and finance with an emphasis in business. You’ll have the chance to learn from experienced faculty who understand what skills you need to succeed.

Our Spanish Teaching degree combines the best of two worlds: our respected education program and a course of study involving language, geography and literature. We teach our classes in Spanish to prepare you for a career where you, as a teacher, will do the same.

The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Teaching is designed for students intending to pursue a career in teaching theatre at the elementary, middle school, or high school level. This degree also prepares students to pursue an advanced degree in education. At its core, the BA in Theatre Teaching provides well-rounded theatrical training mixed with superior education courses. In this degree, students take 45 hours in theatre-specific courses, including acting, directing, and design. They also take 30 hours in education courses designed to sharpen their pedagogy skills. Additionally, there are numerous mainstage opportunities in our five productions each year along with scene work, student films, and Nashville professional opportunities. All students complete student teaching at an area school before graduation.

Applied
The more mathematics an engineering, science, computer science or business student takes, the more jobs openings and graduate school openings are available to that student. The applied mathematics degree is an especially good choice for a double major for students who are already required to have a minor in mathematics, such as engineering and computer science majors. It also qualifies business students to work as an actuary.

The mathematics department at Lipscomb University prepares you to be an excellent teacher who is both mathematically sound and pedagogically proficient. We work closely with Lipscomb’s nationally ranked College of Education to ensure that you are trained and up to date in the latest educational standards and trends. The extra hours of foreign language required for a B.A. make for a highly marketable degree due to the diversity of Davidson County and the surrounding areas.

This process, though continually evolving, is one that has been revered since ancient times, and engineers remain a cornerstone of society.

Study everything civil engineering encompasses: structural, environmental, geotechnical, hydraulic and more. Hone the technical skills of design and construction in our brand new building, Fields Engineering Center. So we've created a program to help you build a foundation in justice so you can do exactly that. We know legal change is one of the best ways to effect social change, so we'll make sure you gain a strong understanding of America's legal system. Work with a prominent civil rights attorney in Tuskegee, Alabama. You'll visit Washington, D.C. for an introduction of American law. Learn from real-life experiences with an internship. Take a semester abroad. And later, you'll even travel to five European countries as you learn about law in the global community.
