Green Chemistry Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Our green chemistry emphasis is one of the few curricula in the U.S. at the undergraduate level. With it you’ll find new, safer, and more efficient ways to perform chemical reactions.

Become skilled in one of the most valuable cultural and economic fields in the U.S. — the production and distribution of motion pictures and television. By studying film production at Lipscomb, you’ll learn the art of storytelling and how to express your original ideas on screen, in an environment that emphasizes collaboration, compassion and care for individuals and communities around the world. You’ll plan, crew and shoot projects, sharpen your screenwriting skills and learn the business, both its history and specific application. We developed our applied biochemistry curriculum to give you exactly what you need to excel. Our dedicated faculty will prepare you for admission to competitive health-related professional schools — without advanced mathematics. Many of our applied biochemistry graduates are flourishing medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists or physician assistants. Others have found success in industry or graduate study within chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or microbiology.

The coursework in the English Teaching program is designed to provide you with foundational literary and educational concepts, practical field experience, and a broad understanding of textual genres, historical periods, composition/rhetoric, and the cultural significance of relevant writers and their texts. The program also allows you to learn from on-site teachers in a diverse range of public and private schools in the Nashville area. The specific content areas for literature include surveys of American, British, and world literatures as well as more narrowly focused seminars, which prepare you for the required content you will be teaching.

Business Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Gain expertise in accounting, economics and finance with an emphasis in business. You’ll have the chance to learn from experienced faculty who understand what skills you need to succeed. 

We're always looking at what's on the horizon in health care so that you'll be ready to adapt to technological advances in nursing. Our Christ-centered, professional faculty have dedicated their lives to equipping you. You'll get a high quality education in medical surgical courses and all specialty areas including: critical care, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health and community-based learning. And our graduates are successful — in fact, 100 percent of nurses who graduated from our program are working in their health care careers. Research shows 79.6 percent of employers want BSN-prepared nurses. And lower mortality rates, fewer medication errors and positive outcomes are an outcome of nurses prepared at the baccalaureate level (AACN, Oct. 2017).

American studies is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to examine the history, culture and society of America by combining courses taken in a variety of fields including history, political science and literature. Conduct an in-depth exploration of America’s rich past—its context will provide the landscape for our country’s future.

Gain 24/7 access to our studios, meet with exhibiting artists in our on-campus John C. Hutcheson gallery and during master classes, and exhibit your own art at our off-campus, student-run Open gallery in downtown Nashville.
