The Master of Public Administration degree, with a specialization in Public Administration, prepares you for a wide range of managerial and leadership positions in local, state and national government. This 42-credit program examines both practical and theoretical problems and challenges in the field, provides opportunities to improve your administrative skills, and prepares you for increasing levels of responsibility and management in public service.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration is designed to prepare students for a career in the organization and management of health services. Upon completion of the 120-credit degree program, graduates will be prepared to assume entry and mid-level positions in health care administration. Throughout the course of study, students will acquire a keen understanding of the political, social and economic components of the health services sector through courses that range from statistics to financial management. Special emphasis will be placed upon developing the students’ ability to identify, comprehend, describe and differentiate among the major components of the health services system.

Students that pursue the 120-credit B.F.A. degree in Digital Art and Design have a variety of exciting career paths available to them. The program is intended to prepare students for successful careers in Graphic Design for Print, Web Design, Animation, and UX Interaction Design. The mission of the program is to impart fundamental knowledge of design and nurture the technical and creative skills necessary for graduates to secure opportunities as professional designers. Our plan of study provides students with comprehensive experience in industry-standard design software and introduces them to the different career paths they can pursue in various fields of design.

The program is committed to developing a new generation of genetic counselors with the knowledge and skill to help patients make the best decisions. With a diverse, interdisciplinary academic and clinical faculty, the two-year program is geared toward students who desire a rigorous and comprehensive training in the field of clinical genetics. The program emphasizes the scientific, clinical and psychosocial aspects of genetic counseling. Skills learned through classroom-based didactics pave the way for students to enter their clinical rotations for “real-world” training. Additionally, a number of supplementary activities ensure that students will be exposed to non-traditional careers in genetic counseling along with traditional, clinic-based careers.

Behavior analysis is a well-developed approach to solving social/emotional, behavioral, and learning problems for many different populations in many different settings. The Department of Psychology's master's program in Behavior Analysis focuses on the experimental, theoretical, methodological, and analysis of behaviors of individuals and how these behaviors denote different types of learning processes or problems. The processes of behavior analysis are used most widely with clinical populations in the area of developmental disabilities, including but not limited to clients diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and/or intellectually impaired.

The Master of Science in Nutrition prepares students to assume leadership positions in the nutrition field. The program is designed to enhance professional qualifications as a food and nutrition specialist. Challenging courses for the advanced study of nutrition are provided. The student chooses various electives to complement a core curriculum of nutrition science, research methods, biomedical statistics as well as communication, education and counseling skills. A choice of challenging electives enables students to pursue individual interests. Students also complete a research project as a culminating experience of the degree.

The 120-credit Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology will prepare you for a career helping people of all ages overcome communication disorders—from young children who stutter to stroke victims struggling to speak again.

Along with a comprehensive liberal arts education, the curriculum offers coursework in normal and disordered communication. Students observe adults and children with speech and/or language disorders in community-based settings. A limited field-based experience may also be available to qualified students. Graduates of this program are ready to advance to master’s-level study and work toward a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association, as well as New York State licensure and certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).

The Digital Game Design & Development Program at LIU Post offers a project-based curriculum that allows students to focus on developing skills in computer programming, art/graphics or interface/content development while collaborating with others in the cohort on large-scale team projects.

In addition to game development, the program stresses the following elements essential to success in the industry: storyboarding, paper prototyping, usability testing, and project management. Students will be taught how to write grant proposals and approach venture capital to support their work and encouraged to collaborate with business faculty on marketing and disseminating their thesis projects.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Technology, Entrepreneurship & Production (MTEP) is designed to provide professional training for students who aim to succeed as creative entrepreneurs in the music industry. The program features a practical teaching and learning approach grounded in the real world of music production and marketing, and follows a learning community/cohort model that places peer collaboration and interdisciplinarity at the center of the educational experience

Comprising courses from the Schools of Performing Arts; Visual Arts, Communications, and Digital Technologies; Business; and the College of Liberal Arts, the MTEP curriculum ensures that students develop facility with a variety of technologies designed to create, produce, distribute, and promote music.

As a student in this program, you will work with professionals in the music industry through internships and guest artist residencies as well as projects associated with Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, the T. Denny Sanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, and local recording studios.

The Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics (BSDA) will prepare students for the growing demand in industries for data-literate professionals who can understand and perform data analytics and apply the knowledge in decision-making in various practical fields. In addition to the common core curriculum, the upper-division coursework innovatively consists of the following modules:

• Foundational Module: programming in Python, Data Analytics with Excel, R, and Python, Data Structures and Algorithms
• Core Module: Database Management, Data Visualization, Advanced Statistics, Data Mining and Business Intelligence, Machine Leaning, Intro to AI
• Applied Module: Data Analytics Ethics, Intro to Fintech, Intro to Modern Cryptography, Computational Genomics, Deep Learning, and Capstone Project
• Elective Module: elective courses can be taken in other programs such as Accounting, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Computer Science, Digital Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Sports Management

The BSDA is a STEM designated degree program. The core faculty in the program all hold their Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, or Operation Research from top-tier research universities, with extensive industry and research experience at Amazon, National Science Foundation, the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, and Wall Street and Main Street firms.
