Industrial Engineers apply science, mathematics, and engineering methods to complex system integration and operations. Because these systems are so large and complex, IEs need to have knowledge and skills in a wide variety of disciplines, the ability to work well with people, and a broad, systems perspective. Industrial engineers use their knowledge and skills to improve systematic processes through the use of statistical analysis, interpersonal communication, design, planning, quality control, operations management, computer simulation, and problem solving.

The industrial engineering curriculum prepares graduates to design, develop, implement, and improve integrated systems that include people, materials, information, equipment and energy. The curriculum includes in-depth instruction to accomplish the integration of systems using appropriate analytical, computational, and experimental practices.

The International Year is a 1-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. Art
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is designed to provide professional development at the undergraduate level in the visual arts, through in-depth study in studio art. The degree requires a minimum of 75 semester hours in art, at least 36 of which must be in upper-division coursework.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of visual art. You’ll also be preparing for specific careers along with theories and concepts, and will apply these theories and concepts in the senior exhibition.

The Master of Fine Arts degree is a comprehensive three-year program designed to guide Candidates toward expertise in studio art and design practices, aesthetics, and scholarly inquiry while expanding proficiency in art history, criticism, and theory. In addition, Candidates have opportunities to acquire experience in classroom instruction and pedagogy, professional development, and gallery practices.

Philosophy

It is a reasoned pursuit of fundamental truths, a quest for understanding, a study of principles of conduct. It seeks to establish standards of evidence, to provide rational methods of resolving conflicts, and to create techniques for evaluating ideas and arguments. Philosophy develops the capacity to see the world from the perspective of other individuals and other cultures; it enhances one's ability to perceive the relationships among the various fields of study; and it deepens one's sense of the meaning and variety of human experience.

Political Science
Political science is the study of politics, government, and public policy at the local, state, national, and international levels. It is concerned with the struggle for power and the exercise of power in public institutions. Political science seeks to reveal the patterns of behavior associated with politics, to explain the functioning of political and governmental institutions, to appraise alternative public policies, and to assess the government's role in society.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will gain critical thinking skills including, creative thinking, innovation, inquiry and analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information. You will also demonstrate communication skills including, the effective development, interpretation, and expression of ideas through written, oral, and visual communication. With this degree, you will gain empirical and quantitative skills, including the manipulation and analysis of numerical data or observable facts resulting in informed conclusions.

The Theatre and Dance Program at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi is a unique program offering courses specifically tailored for students pursuing careers in professional theatre and film, as well as those seeking Texas Teacher Certification in Theatre Arts. We are extremely devoted to preparing you for the challenges of creating theatre in the 21st Century.

The mission of our program is to provide students with the tools needed for preparation as theatre educators or professional practitioner, or for continuation of their studies on the graduate level.

The goal of the program is to provide students with meaningful experiences that promote an understanding of Theatre as a medium of expression and collaboration. Students are given opportunities for creative and critical thinking, problem solving, and exploration in an environment that values artistic integrity, understands failure as well as success, and respects the viewpoints of others in the encouragement of artistic truth.

The extensive season of the theatre program serves not only as a training lab for the students, but also enhances the cultural and aesthetic experience of the campus and is a major cultural resource for the residents of South Texas.

The Environmental Science MS program provides a rich and rewarding setting in which students can develop and communicate innovative and practical solutions to present and future environmental challenges, with a focus on urban and coastal issues. Environmental science students at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi enjoy small specialty classes and diverse laboratory and field experiences. Environmental science facilities contain biological, geological and map collections as well as a wide array of field and laboratory equipment.

Atmospheric Science
The Bachelor of Science program in Atmospheric Sciences addresses the needs of students interested in studying meteorology or climate science. The program provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the physical characteristics, motions and processes of air; as well as the interactions of this protective layer with the underlying oceans and continents. The undergraduate program emphasizes a systems approach, combining traditional atmospheric sciences with emerging fields. In particular, the program focuses on the fields of tropical meteorology and oceanography that are directly linked to the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding coastal regions where the university is strategically located.

The accounting major is designed to provide entry-level knowledge, skills, and concepts for careers in accounting.

Accounting careers are generally divided into four broad areas, corresponding to particular employment environments: management accounting, government accounting, accounting education, and public accounting.
