As a TROY broadcast journalism student, you will learn to skillfully navigate these outlets to help deliver news to a rapidly changing audience.

Through your training within TROY’s award-winning Hall School of Journalism and Communication, you will master the art of news reporting, including the interview process and writing for mass media. Within the framework of your degree, you will become a practiced communicator as you combine core broadcast skills with hands-on TV studio and production techniques and experiences. You’ll have ample opportunities to report, produce and anchor live television newscasts Monday through Friday at TrojanVision, TROY’s state-of-the-art TV production studio.

TROY students also work with native speakers from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Venezuela and other Spanish speaking countries inside the classroom. The Division of Economics and Finance works with several organizations such as the American Institute for Economic Research, the American Enterprise Institute, the Cato Institute, the Institute for Humane Studies, the Institute for Justice and the Tax Foundation to offer great internship opportunities to students pursuing degrees in economics.

The Division of Economics and Finance is also home to the Manuel H. Johnson Center for Political Economy. The Johnson Center provides a dynamic and rigorous education program focused on the imperatives of free markets and individual liberty as well as relevant policy research on current and local issues.
