An emphasis in computer systems prepares students for careers as network administrators or software engineers.  Graduates will be able to provide expertise in the design, monitoring, and maintenance of organizational networks.

To complete a Computer Science degree with a Computer Systems Emphasis you must complete six computer systems emphasis courses in addition to the computer science core courses.

Religious studies is most commonly known for preparing individuals for pastoral ministry. However, pursuing a degree in religious studies also prepares graduates for a wide range of fields and provides them with a skill set that is desirable to many employers.

Biblical studies emphasis
Explore the Bible as a literary piece of history. Study both the New and Old Testament through analyzing the Prophet's writing and acquiring an understanding of the Wisdom literature.

The first semester is an intensive on-campus experience. Students will spend 30 to 40 hours a week in the classroom and laboratory. In addition to scanning in the laboratories, students will have the opportunity to use the University’s cadaver lab. Upon completion of the academic semester, students will attend clinical education for 40 hours per week at one of the University’s designated Clinical Education Centers. Clinical education is 35 weeks in length and totals 1,400 hours. This impressive amount of clinical education ensures that our graduates have attributes that employers are looking for. Along with the unique, three-semester design of the programs, students will complete their degree faster and begin their professional careers sooner!

Students enrolled in the Echocardiography program will spend 16 weeks in the classroom and laboratory settings learning normal and pathological conditions as they relate to the study of the adult heart. Students will experience a unique curriculum design that offers the opportunity to learn in the classroom a setting and then immediately apply this knowledge in the lab using state-of-the-art equipment.

Few majors provide you with more highly marketable skills for a variety of careers than the English major. The creative and critical thinking skills that you learn as an English major are highly valued in today's fast-paced and competitive market.

The English program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in many diverse areas of education, public relations, communications, law, and marketing.  As an English major, you will develop skills to become a critical reader, writer, and thinker through the study of diverse literary genres, writing strategies, and research skills.

Creative Writing
The creative writing emphasis focuses on the development and writing of original works and promotes opportunity for self-expression, emphasizing the relationship between writer and audience, while also exposing students to the professional world of publishing.

The business world is constantly changing. It is full of diversity with corporations doing business beyond their borders to expand operations and production. There is a need to not only understand new cultures but effectively conduct business for the benefit of everyone. This has led to many new career opportunities locally as well as internationally.

International business is a great area to distinguish yourself in the corporate world. In the global marketplace, it is necessary to understand multi-cultural differences. Being successful within one’s own country is great, but internationally you experience a whole new world of challenges. Customs and business etiquette are vastly different and a simple misunderstanding could mean the end of a business relationship.
