This accelerated program offers the clinical nurse leader (CNL) track, which will prepare you for clinical leadership roles, giving you the ability to manage and solve complex patient problems in a range of healthcare settings. Students in the Advertising and Public Relations option develop knowledge and skills relating to the use of strategic communication practices within a variety of settings such as ad agencies, commercial businesses, and nonprofit organizations. A dynamic mix of historical, social, ethical, organizational, creative, analytical, and experiential perspectives is used to create a strong foundation for professional success and graduate study. Coursework covers topics such as earned and paid media, social media, graphic design, media writing, data analytics, and audience research. Some courses use field trips and guest speakers to keep students up-to-date with current trends. An internship in advertising and public relations is required.

The M.S. in Biochemistry combines a rigorous curriculum in biochemistry and related disciplines with interdisciplinary research opportunities at the frontiers of biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology. Graduates of the program are equipped for successful careers in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, or in academic and government research laboratories. Students in the Ecosystem Science option typically have a strong background in environmental science, earth science, ecology, or related fields. Areas of interest include the ecology, microbiology and biogeochemistry of soils, groundwaters, and surface waters, with an emphasis on how the different components of an ecosystem interact to produce system-level responses to management, global change, and other perturbations. Understanding controls on carbon storage, nutrient transformations, water quality, soil health and greenhouse gas emissions is central to much of the research conducted by students in this option.
