A financial services degree will give you the analytical skills needed to deliver advice and financial products to individuals and institutions. Our curriculum gives you a strong foundation in all aspects of personal financial management and is designed to meet the growing need for graduates who are knowledgeable in all relevant areas.

The financial services program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board and nearly every graduate of the program is placed in an appropriate internship or job opportunity after graduation.

Program Outcomes
If you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in financial services. Core coursework focuses on all areas of personal financial management, including investments, insurance, tax planning, retirement planning, real estate, estate planning, and personal financial planning. If you complete the financial services major and the relevant elective classes, you will be eligible to sit for the CFP exam.

The honors program in English is designed to encourage and recognize superior academic accomplishments by English undergraduates. With the approval of the chair of the English department and the departmental honors advisor, students who meet the eligibility standards may enter the English honors program before the beginning of their senior year. Students may be admitted to the program on the recommendation of any member of the English department faculty, or students may petition to enter the program. Under the direction of a faculty tutor, students in the honors program will complete an honors project that culminates in their writing an honors thesis or project report. Program Learning Outcomes:
All graduates with a B. A. in English will be:

• Informed readers, able to formulate readings of texts based on their knowledge of literary historical contexts and of basic critical strategies;
• Skilled writers, able to develop a thesis and sustain a coherent written argument about literature using secondary sources.

You will study feminist activism and theory related to women and other marginalized groups within a multicultural and global context, including experience and identity related to gender and sexuality. You will gain excellent written and oral communication skills, research skills, and strong critical thinking skills. You can go on to work in a variety of fields including psychology, health, education, nonprofits, and other organizations and businesses.

The Master of Humanities program offers a unique, flexible, interdisciplinary opportunity for graduate study, whether you are a traditional or non-traditional student.

You will explore questions from diverse perspectives rather than concentrate your study within a single discipline. Your program of study might focus on a historical period, a cultural region, or a social or artistic theme, and may combine, for example, ancient and modern cultures, literature and politics, philosophy and art, or history and religion.

The program is flexible because you design, in consultation with the director, your integrated individualized curriculum, pursue full-time or part-time study, and attend evening or day classes.

The Greek major allows students to focus primarily on the study of Greek language, literature, and culture. Students are required to take 7 semesters of Greek language. Additional electives cover courses in a diverse range of subjects relating to the study of the Classical world.

Course work in the Bachelor of Arts in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences Concentration program combines lecture, lab, and field experiences with geology and the broader earth sciences, which include subjects such as water, soils, and atmosphere. Students pursuing the B.A. have wide latitude in their choice of coursework that allows them to supplement required courses with a broad sampling of other courses or to earn an additional credential such as a second major, a minor, or a certificate program.

The communication studies program will help you better understand intrapersonal and interpersonal communication. The mass communication program shapens your skills in mediated processes and effects, social media, digital media, and other multimedia processes. Your intellectual, organizational, and social abilities will increase through our new curriculum. These abilities can be applied to a variety of contexts, including interpersonal, organizational, and mediated settings. Your courses will underscore real-world experiences with theoretical frameworks. Your ability to critically think about the world around you cannot be overemphasized. Materials engineers are on the cutting-edge of technology in virtually every field. Materials science and engineering students learn how to turn raw materials into useful products and technology.

Materials science engineers (MSE) design everything from fuel cells, superconductors, titanium turbine blades, and nanomaterials to graphite fiber tennis rackets, skis, synthetic heart valves, and lithium-ion batteries.

Materials engineers are constantly developing and improving materials for new uses and emerging technologies. These include many diverse areas such as improved metals to make safer and more fuel-efficient cars, high-temperature superconductors, new coatings to make fabric waterproof, new ceramic and metallic materials for medical implants, advanced composites for lighter, stronger equipment, and higher frequency lasers for improved fiber optic communication systems.

New technology is creating a need for new materials, which is driving the demand for engineers in the basic materials and advanced research areas of the profession.

The urban affairs major is right for you if you want to make communities better places to live, if you want to fix problems such as vacant housing, decaying infrastructure, access to healthy food, ensuring safe neighborhoods, reducing homelessness, city planning, economic development, and equal education and job opportunities for future generations.

The Urban Affairs program provides students with an appreciation of the urban environment as a complex system and teaches them to approach urban processes from multiple perspectives. The Bachelor of Arts degree places emphasis on the qualitative aspects of public service management. In contrast, the Bachelor of Science degree emphasizes quantitative data analysis.

The objectives of the Public Health degree center around programmatic learning goals and core skills that not only provide an in-depth science education but aid students in developing skills necessary for future careers. These include:
